Either way! You are special already... You know... I hate emails... but I love the blockchain experience! Why? Well... emails... emails... they are just that ... e MAILS...
On chain, we can avoid the "e"... it's more like "on", on Blockchain! Forever... Hard to delete, hard to forge, impossible to duplicate (in case of Hive)... hence any of us becomes Unique!

I decided to go to @hivefest this year again, because I know how I am, and to just "snap" (using snaps instead of posts mostly) during the travel time, because I don't have the mindset to live the "recording" at every moment mindset while living the moment (more important to me) was mega.
I need to think about these things, right? Before I eventually distribute them, due to the reason they have meaning to me (strong hidden meanings sometimes), because they are important.
This is one of them... almost 5 years ago, I decided to "represent" what I do on Hive, via a token called ATX... and that made sure to record history about what I do. Just as motivation back then...
But WAIT... this is about @hivefest, not ATX 🤦♂️😁😉 (spoiler alert)
The moment I have thought about going... to HiveFest 🤔
It was actually back in May when I found out about it... I have booked the Hotel on the Journal and flights! Back then, it was the most amazing feeling to be sure I was going there... without any doubts about it.
But at the same time, the thought of some people I love would not go to join, flooded my thoughts... even so, my mindset said... It's a new opportunity, new people! New Challenges! SO, LET'S GO!
I had to leave my self AI for a while... (even if that didn't work in KL because most people would know me already, LOL)
At the departure...
No Dark Vather farting around... 😉 (only telegram @hivefest channel people will understand)
That was the flight from Wellington to Auckland... 1 ish hour... smooth. I was excited... Powered with energy. Feeling that 100k HP under my hood...
Then the "rain" came...
I said... WTF... and NO... I am not in a prison... It's Airport stuff!
Suddenly... I was just reading Telegram messages and witnessing the fact that I was, reading stuff from the "already arrived in Malaysia" people!
I could see where they were... but I could not do anything about it yet... felt powerless but excited about joining them soon.
Eventually, this one brought me from NZ into Singapore!
During this flight of Air New Zealand, I have noticed something I haven't had for YEARS!!! That was just GOLD...
Have you ever witnessed your food tray sliding on the platform you have to eat?
Do you hate it? 🤣 Yes, me tooo!
But not anymore with Air New Zealand... apparently they have solved the problem recently...
Little couchins below the trays make the trays super sticky and therefore problem solved! The next one is the glass sliding problem!

Other blockchain people answered... And given I was testing the wireless on the plane, it was super exciting to test it with Hive people!

It worked quite flawlessly, to be honest. Until everyone on the plane started to wake up!!!! 🤤 And using their phones... After that, I basically could not do anything anymore!
This was about where the internet airspace was not so good... and I got into sleep mode!
Lucky me, Singapore was super busy and we had to wait for 45 minutes more in the air... making me lose the 2nd flight. Air New Zealand rebooked me automatically to another one 1 hour later.
Finally, I landed in Singapore... this airport is quite a beautiful one (this is just a peek).
And this one completely drives me crazy because you can't tell the limit of the pond... on the left side! Lucky photo!

Eventually... I arrived after not being able to check in on time from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur. Yes... 3 flights delayed... but Air New Zealand was ABSOLUTELY flawless... If I have to recommend them. I will 100%... BEST company ever experienced... and I can chat about some really cool stuff before COVID times... You will be CRAZY to listen to.
After arriving at KL, I took the cheapest TAXI ever for 55km! Under 80 Ringgit 😱
Top speed might have been 160km/h, and average speed about 120 km/h, with 90 km/h max speed allowed on the highway! 😅 very similar to Portugal I would say...
Well, I would do 180 km/s every day with a diesel on the Tejo bridge... for a LONG time... when the maximum was by then 120... so I understood the guy in a sense. I can at least understand if I am being on a rocket or a BOMB! The guy was not bad...
Eventually, I have arrived...

That's a bit of an epic journey. I've done my share of long distance and don't really enjoy it. That's part of why I didn't go this time, but I did get FOMO. With us being on opposite sides of the planet the chances of meeting again may not be great. We need Hive events everywhere so everyone can get to one.

It's quite hard, the world is so big, that it will always be a challenge for someone. But maybe using a Hybrid model will call for more souls to try to attend more regularly. I would say... and will probably help fund expenses a little more.
Either way, the arrival was not the worst! Coming back got even harder! Have to write the last two segments this week.

Definitely would be a pleasure meeting you a future one. If in Europe, it will get very expensive for me, because we are also due to visit family in Portugal. But let's see when that comes.

Damn, that was a long post - I swa youz enjoyed it and a cool group of Hive folks - I simply hope apart from celebrating hwo great we are also tricky points been discussed to improve Hive in various areas.

I usually try to keep reading for 5 to 10 minutes max. But with pictures it sometimes gets longer due to eye scanning... so perhaps I need to keep 5 minutes max if there are lots of pictures.
There was a lot of new stuff coming in, and yes, the concerns about adoption and inflation are constant topics. I think the light accounts will be a very interesting thing to see how it goes. There are also some other extra things coming with the HF28...
Overall, it's also been acknowledged that keeping the "professional" quality of the chain is very important long term, as exchanges are usually "dumb" and don't necessarily fight for the security of the chain (so, keeping them happy by not doing too many changes or changes that affect them, is usually a good strategy to maintain that high level impression). Hence, why planning for HForks is a bigger deal the more businesses you have.
On the apps spaces and following up HAF things, we are finally moving into a "almost" 100% done phase, so after the HFork those things will start to get more widely used by everyone, I am thinking, and that, allied with a much better documentation a good opportunity for more businesses to come along and bring their own communities.
I am especially excited with what VSC is trying to achieve... as that will bring the userbase that does not care about our dapps first, and then once they find out about the rest of the ecosystem, my feeling is that some will get hooked at least. Hence why that "engine" mechanism of facilitating cross-chain interaction is very valuable.
