The European bee-eaters (Merops apiaster) flew away from us at the beginning of September. For now, these colorful birds remain only in the photos. We will not see them in nature again until the end of May.
Vlhy pestré od nás odletěly už začátkem září. Prozatím tito barevní ptáci zůstávají jen na fotkách. V přírodě je u nás uvidíme zase až koncem května.
In the summer, these amazing pilots amaze with their aerial maneuvers. It feeds on insects flying at high altitudes.
V létě tito úžasní letci udivují svými vzdušnými manévry. Živí se totiž hmyzem, létajícím ve velkých výškách.

Mimořádně krásní ptáci a to švitoření když letí. Kdykoliv zaslechnu vlhu hned se rozhlížím. Poprvé v životě jsem je viděl v Rumunsku, v Dunajské deltě. Vlhy, dudci, mandelíci. Na to se nedá zapomenout.
