Greetings, humans, how are you all doing...
A couple of months ago, I decided to start streaming games on the platform that ends with TOK. Honestly, for someone who had no idea about this, I think I’ve been doing pretty well and I’m building a nice community there.
So, I decided to set a goal for myself: with the earnings from my live streams, I would buy a microphone and I did it!
I’d like you to read this text until the end so you can draw your own conclusions, because the ending might surprise you and I feel it could really help you if you’re thinking about getting into the world of streaming. That said, let’s begin:
🎙️OMKARA VSG
This is the microphone I bought. It cost me about 240,000 Colombian pesos, which is around 63 US dollars at the current exchange rate. I got it at a tech mall called Monterrey in my city, Medellín.
I had seen several reviews of this mic and it seemed to have great feedback I even asked the AI about it.
UNBOXING
The box is premium and has a beautiful design. Inside, we have the microphone, a tripod (which I thought was awesome), stickers, a foam windscreen to reduce noise, and the cables.
Setting it up is super easy you just connect it to your PC… or at least, that’s what I thought.
The microphone has a mute button and another one to increase or decrease the volume.
🎙️SOUND
This is where the trouble started. The microphone sounded very low, or sometimes the platform didn’t even recognize it. I tried for an entire afternoon with no success, even with the help of some friends we couldn’t get the desired result.
Some of my viewers told me it sounded too quiet or had an echo, and when I did gameplay streams, it was even worse.
Honestly, I was really sad, because it looked great and fit perfectly into my setup.
CONCLUSIONS AND SOLUTIONS
The microphone comes with a one year warranty, so I went back to the store — and there it worked perfectly. This is what I learned about this mic:
- It’s not compatible with all computers (it might sound great on one PC but not on another, like in my case).
- Streaming microphones will have some echo (there are programs that can help, but they either overload your PC or don’t completely solve the issue).
- The Live Studio platform isn’t compatible with all microphones, and it can cause conflicts with other devices you’re using in your stream.
- This is not an ideal microphone for gaming streams. It might work fine for talking streams or chatting, but your room needs to have good sound insulation, otherwise it’ll pick up every noise around you since it’s very sensitive and doesn’t have built-in controls to adjust that (again, you could use software, but it’ll put extra strain on your computer).
- You must also have Windows fully updated for it to function properly.
So, I don’t recommend this mic if you want to stream or go live regularly. I feel like it’s a “lucky” microphone it works great for some people and terribly for others. But no matter what, you’ll have echo in your streams unless you buy a higher-quality or semi-professional mic.
But don’t worry my story doesn’t end on a sad note! The store kindly exchanged it for another mic from the same brand, which I’ll show you in future posts and this one works wonderfully.

Hace un par de meses he decidido empezar a hacer stream de juegos en la plataforma que termina en TOK , la verdad para no tener idea de esto siento que me ido bien y estoy creando una comunidad allí.
Así que he decidido ponerme una meta y era que con las ganancias de mis lives me compraría un micrófono y se logro.
Me gustaría que leyeran este texto hasta el final para que saquen sus conclusiones ya que el final te lo vas a esperar y siento te te va servir mucho si quisieras intentar en el mundo del streaming, dicho esto comencemos:
OMKARA VSG
Este es el micrófono que me compre, me valió unos 240mil pesos Colombianos, unos 63 dólares en promedio a precio actual de la moneda. Este lo adquirí en un centro comercial especializado en tecnología llamado Monterrey en mi ciudad Medellín.
El micrófono había visto varias reviews y daba muy buenas impresiones e incluso le pregunte a la I.A.
UNBOXING
Su caja es premium y tiene un diseño precioso. Dentro de ella tenemos el micrófono , un tripode ( me pareció genial ), stikers, espuma para aislar el ruido y sus cables.
El armado es súper fácil y solo es conectar a la pc o eso creía.
El micrófono cuenta con un botón para poner en mute y otro para subir y bajar el volumen.
SONIDO
Aquí es donde empece a sufrir ya que el micrófono me sonaba muy pasito o la plataforma no me lo reconocía y intente e intente una tarde sin buenos resultados e incluso algunos amigos me ayudaron y no llegamos al resultado deseado. Incluso mis espectadores me decían que se escuchaba muy pasito o con eco y cuando hacia gameplay era mucho peor.
La verdad estaba muy triste , porque bonito si era y se vehia genial en el setup.
CONCLUSIONES Y SOLUCIONES
El micrófono tiene garantía de 1 año, así que fui al local donde funciono perfecto y esto fue lo que aprendí de este micrófono:
No es compatible con todos los computadores ( te puede sonar bien en un pc y en otro no sonar como en el mio ).
Los micrófonos para stream si o si vas a **tener eco **( existen programas que te ayudan, pero te sobrecarga el pc o simplemente no cumple en totalidad esa función ).
La plataforma live studio no es compatible con todos los micrófonos y puede generar conflicto con todo lo demas que tengas conectado y estés usando en tu stream.
Este no es un micrófono para stream de videojuegos, quizás para lives donde hables solo con la persona podría funcionar, pero tu cuarto debe tener muy buen aislante o si se te va escuchar todo alrededor ya que el micro es muy sensible y no tienes un panel para cuadrar esto ( existen programas, pero sobrecargaras tu pc ).
Otro aspecto es que si o si debes tener instalado tu windows con las actualizaciones recientes.
Bueno no te lo recomiendo si quieres hacer stream o lives ya que siento que es un micrófono con suerte, en algunos pc funciona de maravilla y en otros no. Pero si o si vas a tener eco en tus lives, a menos de que compres un micrófono de mas calidad o uno semiprofesional.
Pero tranquilos que mi historia no termino triste y el señor me lo cambio por otro de la misma marca que en futuros post los traeré y si funciona de maravilla.
