Venezuela ha decidido cambiar, esas son las primeras palabras que puedo decir al escribir esta publicación. Al estar presente en la Expo TecnoDigital pude ver muchas cosas más allá de lo que uno pensaría de manera individualizada. Hace tan sólo un par de años todo se veía un poco distante sobre estos temas. Siempre me han llamado visionario, pero prefiero ir más allá de lo simple para ver renacer mi tierra. Este o no este en ella.
Poco a poco esos pasos han venido ocurriendo, escribiré un poco de esto hoy y próximamente. Casualmente, el estado Lara en Venezuela tiene una visualización de convertirse en una zona económica especial. Ya existen algunas de ellas hoy día en el país, pero ¿a qué viene todo esto? Sencillo: la forma en la que este evento puede influir en su momento en una ciudad que hoy es mono- funcional.
Al estar en la Expo TecnoDigital como expositor en el stand de Hive pude ver como existe la oportunidad de que la tecnología impacte significativamente en nuestro país poco a poco. Dice mi abuela que lo más difícil es abrir la puerta, esta ya ha sido abierta.
Quiero matizar en este post lo que vi de manera general en todo el evento. ¡Quedé impactado con muchas empresas emergentes y startup!
Uno de los stands que me llamó significativamente la atención fue Matrix Telcom, una empresa colombiana que está buscando expandir su mercado tecnológico a Venezuela. Algo muy llamativo es que el expositor encargado de promocionar sus productos en el evento era de origen colombiano. Esto me pareció realmente maravilloso debido a la apreciación o noción que poseía sobre espacios construidos, y variables urbanas (reglas urbanas para construir edificaciones).
Venezuela has decided to change, those are the first words I can say when writing this publication. Being present at the Expo TecnoDigital I was able to see many things beyond what one would think individually. Just a couple of years ago everything looked a bit distant on these topics. I have always been called a visionary, but I prefer to go beyond the simple to see my land reborn. Whether I am in it or not.
Little by little these steps have been taking place, I will write a little about this today and soon. Coincidentally, the state of Lara in Venezuela has a visualization of becoming a special economic zone. There are already some of them in the country today, but what is all this about? Simple: the way in which this event can eventually influence a city that today is mono-functional.
I want to qualify in this post what I saw in a general way in the whole event. I was impressed with many emerging companies and startups!
Being at the Expo TecnoDigital as an exhibitor at the Hive booth I could see how there is an opportunity for technology to significantly impact our country little by little. My grandmother says that the hardest thing is to open the door, this one has already been opened.
One of the stands that caught my attention was Matrix Telcom, a Colombian company that is looking to expand its technological market to Venezuela. Something very striking is that the exhibitor in charge of promoting their products at the event was of Colombian origin. I found this really wonderful because of the appreciation or notion he had about built spaces, and urban variables (urban rules for constructing buildings).

En este caso, la empresa ofrece el reemplazo de las cajas negras o carretes de internet básico a fibra óptica en postes de luz. Le comenté al expositor que tenía noción de las citadas reglas urbanas, y me indicó muy educadamente que le parecía extraño que en Venezuela esto se colocara en los postes y no en el subsuelo. No quise ahondar en el tema, pero todo depende de que espacio sea. Existe mucho que transformar en el país, y creo que esta empresa puede tener un camino maravilloso en un proceso de reconstrucción en la infraestructura de Venezuela.
Me acerqué también a una empresa de envíos de mercancías, mi hermano menor trabajó en una importadora por dos años en el exterior, y uno de los puntos más eficientes es que esta exista en Venezuela. Aunque en el sector de importación hay mucha competencia en el mercado, sí, hay varias empresas en el país.
Había un stand de Monserrat, una litografía. Recordé al verla, a una de mis amistades que posee una, y también sus palabras de como este mercado había sido golpeado duramente desde 2012 hasta 2021. Este mercado se está levantando nuevamente, y lo mejor es que ofrecen servicios más óptimos y modernos. Cerca de este stand estaba el equipo de Ewinet, una de las empresas de servicio de internet por fibra óptica en la ciudad, y una que además tenía un estilo muy futurista con sus expositores. La empresa prestó dentro de la Expo TecnoDigital su servicio de internet de manera gratuita, y otro para los diversos stands.

I also approached a freight forwarding company, my younger brother worked in an importer for two years abroad, and one of the most efficient points is that it exists in Venezuela. Although in the import sector there is a lot of competition in the market, yes, there are several companies in the country.
There was a Monserrat booth, a lithograph. I remembered seeing it, one of my friends who owns one, and also her words of how this market had been hit hard from 2012 to 2021. This market is rising again, and the best thing is that they offer more optimal and modern services. Near this booth was the team from Ewinet, one of the fiber optic internet service companies in town, and one that also had a very futuristic style with their displays. The company provided within the Expo TecnoDigital its internet service for free, and another one for the various stands.
Uno de los emprendimientos que tienen mayor impacto social y en el mercado de marketing en Barquisimeto es la agencia: La Máquina, recuerdo que todo nació de un pequeño emprendimiento, sigo su cuenta en Instagram desde hace años, pero no sabía dónde estaban sus oficinas. Lo descubrí cuando fuimos a grabar un video para la Expo TecnoDigital sobre la participación de Hive en él. Su trabajo es impecable, y sobre todo es atractivo.
Algo peculiar es que tenían unos folletos promocionales que llamaban la atención por dos palabras: Sexo y Gratis.
El marketing siempre me ha gustado. Uno de los stands después del de Hive que más me gustó fue este. Además de que todo el equipo era muy cordial y sobre todo tenían una energía que conectaba muy bien. Sus anuncios promocionales son espectaculares, impresionantes y enfocados en la captación de usuarios. Interesante, ¿verdad?
La esencia de todo fue poco a poco hacer conversaciones. El equipo de Hive que estaba en la Expo TecnoDigital visitó cada uno de los stands. El networking fue el principio elemental, la conexión y sobre todo la atención cálida que trasmitíamos como un equipo de abejas que volaban por todo el lugar.

I discovered it when we went to shoot a video for Expo TecnoDigital about Hive's participation in it. His work is impeccable, and above all it is attractive.
Something peculiar is that they had some promotional brochures that called attention to two words: Sex and Free.
I have always liked marketing. One of the booths after Hive that I liked the most was this one. Besides the fact that the whole team was very cordial and above all they had an energy that connected very well. Their promotional ads are spectacular, impressive and focused on user acquisition. Interesting, isn't it?
The essence of it all was to gradually make conversations. The Hive team that was at the Expo TecnoDigital visited each of the stands. Networking was the elementary principle, the connection and above all the warm attention that we transmitted as a team of bees flying all over the place.
Algo que me pareció significativo es que hubiera varias empresas de internet, y que la concentración de mercado con la estatal de telecomunicaciones Cantv desapareciera. Tuve la oportunidad de hablar con el equipo de Intel, y les dije que tuve su servicio por dos años cuando vivía en el centro de Barquisimeto (Intel es un buen servicio, claro, tiene excepciones por situaciones de causa mayor: Cortes en su cableado, por ejemplo).
Something that seemed significant to me is that there are several internet companies and that the market concentration with the state-owned Cantv has disappeared. A otro lugar que me acerqué fue a Proimca, y me pareció magnífico que ofrecieran la instalación del servicio de fibra óptica con un pago que se efectúa por partes, es decir, en dos cuotas. Pocas tienen esta flexibilidad en Venezuela. Creo que la empresa entiende que todo está en ser flexibles y adaptarse a los ingresos de sus clientes. De esta manera pueden hacer crecer su tecnología y prestar sus servicios a más personas. Además, la empresa posee planes de televisión digital.
Una de las empresas que ofrecen algo impactante, y que me causó mucha intriga fue binaural odoo. Las personas que nos atendieron fueron muy cordiales también, y sobre todo ofrecían un servicio interesante. La empresa es de origen venezolano y su sede está en mi ciudad, por lo que me indicó el expositor.
Binaural odoo ofrece un servicio muy amplio de administración, contabilidad, planificación financiera y marketing por medio de su programa cargado en la nube. Es decir, no se requiere un servidor o un programa como Valery Software para mantener en orden una empresa. Esto me pareció poderoso, rápido y eficiente debido a la eliminación de burocracia en los procesos.
Había otros stands interesantes como Deskon, una empresa de computadoras, y servidores. También estaba el Banco Plaza promocionando su nuevo, y moderno punto de venta y abriendo cuentas bancarias por medio del escáner de un código de barras. Cerca del stand de Hive, estaba el equipo de: Webpa! Una empresa especialista en páginas web y marketing digital, me pareció genial que celebraran al finalizar el evento su aniversario.

Me llamó la atención ver a ECOFLOW, una empresa trasnacional que está evaluando los mercados venezolanos e introduciendo sus equipos de energía solar. Pregunté sobre su empresa matriz, la sede y los planes a largo plazo. Sería interesante ver que la empresa pueda expandirse y tener plantas de energía solar en Venezuela.
My attention was drawn to ECOFLOW, a transnational company that is evaluating Venezuelan markets and introducing its solar energy equipment. I asked about their parent company, headquarters and long term plans. It would be interesting to see if the company could expand and have solar power plants in Venezuela.
He llegado a la parte más emocionante en este post, y es Hive: ¿Qué es Hive? Esa era la pregunta recurrente de los desarrolladores y los emprendedores en el evento. Nosotros con una sonrisa característica explicábamos qué era el futuro, qué era un Blockchain, un sistema descentralizado y de Web3. Uno de los retos más grandes era explicarle a alguien que no tenía nociones de estos temas, pero cuando le acotábamos el impacto, lo que poseía y lo que se podía efectuar, las personas quedaban totalmente atraídas.
Hive tuvo un impacto dentro de todo el evento, se podía ver en cada ocasión que salíamos a efectuar networking. Este post, por ejemplo, está compuesto por tres días intensos de conversaciones por los diferentes stands y aún existe mucho que contar.

La oportunidad de estar aquí, la oportunidad de ver como todo el equipo de @hiversbqto efectuó un rol compartiendo y llevando a un lugar más a nuestro ecosistema, es para mí uno de los más grandes honores.
Lo que importa, lo que verdaderamente importa, es ese lazo de confianza que podemos darle a los demás, ese que se construye con mucho trabajo y esfuerzo. Hace unos tres años y medio no sabía que era este universo, hoy estoy acá y cuanto he aprendido y sigo aprendiendo todos los días.

Que maravilloso ver que a pesar de la realidad venezolana, aún prevalezcan las ganas de seguir construyendo. El país necesita honrar la deuda que tiene con la tecnología y ponerse a la par de los avances tecnológicos, y evidentemente este tipo de eventos conduce a ello.
Por otro lado, me encanta el protagonismo de Hive en este camino de adopción y crecimiento. Felicidades a todo el equipo, mi respeto y reconocimiento.

It's great to see the impact of Hive's expansion in Venezuela. Coincidentally, these were frequently asked questions that I also received, but when the conversation was a bit in the middle. The question of a sustainable model also came up.
One of the most frequently asked questions was: what is Hive, a service or a company? When we explained that it was a blockchain and a Web3 decentralization system without a CEO, for example: the developers were interested in the possibility of creating a Dapp within the ecosystem. It seemed novel and intriguing to them.

Fue realmente potente o poderoso, ver como todo se llevó a cabo y más por tener la oportunidad de llevar a Hive a un lugar más estable y agradable. Exactamente, son eventos que permiten una interactuar y dar un poco de todo. Existen cosas maravillosas que quedaron plasmadas acá y lo mejor de todo es compartir en comunidad.

Además como la tecnología cad a vez está agarrando mas fuerza y como dice tu abuela ya las puertas están abiertas, solo queda desarbólale y plasmar cada una de esas ideas para que el país se vuelva totalmente tecnológico. Increíble cada una de esas empresas que tiene una visión muy amplió y se sabe con el potencial que se puede encontrar. Fue un momento maravilloso, súper davidpena21, creo que la esencia de todo fue la calidez de toda la comunidad. Sobre todo del valor que posee Hive y su atractivo. Algo que nos caracteriza es el aprecio rotundo que tenemos al ecosistema.
Lo más increíble es como la tecnología está haciendo su parte poco a poco en Venezuela. La parálisis de hace unos años ha cambiado rotundamente.
