1 Corinthians 1:16 NIV
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
It is imperative that we spread and preach the gospel to as many persons as we come across. There are millions of persons that are yet to come to the knowledge of Christ. This therefore means that they are yet to be saved.
As Christians that we are, we should not be ashamed of professing and witnessing Christ Jesus. If you are ashamed of Christ and the gospel, it only means that you are not truly a child of God. Also, it could mean that you are not firmly rooted in Christ and His words.
Also, Jesus said it clearly that if we are ashamed of Him in this world that on the last day, He too will be ashamed of us before the Father. What a great height of damnation and destruction that would be for such victim!!
It is the lack of confidence that causes a person to be ashamed. Consequently, if you are not filled with the word of God with correct backings and Bible references, you will not be able to stand out boldly to share the gospel. Equally, if you are crooked in your ways, you will be ashamed to witness Christ being that people know who you are.
Bearing in mind that there is a great cloud of witnesses around us, kindly and diligently hold fast to this profession and ministry of reconciliation. Lay aside every weight of sin and shortcomings.
Be excited to share the gospel to the world. Remember, he that wins souls is wise.
