LIGA DE AJEDREZ CHESS BROTHERS - Temporada 2 "Gens una sumus": Reportaje del torneo 5 y nueva convocatoria 💪♟

La primera mitad de la liga ha pasado a la historia. La 5ta válida fue jugada y la emoción aumenta tras esta muy interesante contienda. Con un rating promedio de 2016, 19 jugadores participaron en esta contienda, la cual fue bastante disputada.
Esta vez la modalidad de juego fue decidida por la comunidad, siendo Arena 5+2 el resultado de la opinión popular. Debido a la buena recepción que tuvo esta consulta, se continuará con este llamado a la comunidad. Creemos que fortalece la confianza y espíritu de participación de todos los que hacen vida en este gremio ajedrecista. Más adelante en este post encontrarán el link para votar por su opción favorita y así definir parte de las condiciones para la 6ta válida.

Hablemos un poco de los reultados y las estadísticas en general de esta ronda.
De entrada, tuvimos un nuevo ganador: @jaki01. Con un sólido score de 22 puntos impuso su nivel y se consagró como el claro campeón de esta válida, un resultado que nos complace mucho, pues la tabla de posiciones parciales se sacude un poco, dando así una sensación de incertidumbre de cara a los resultados finales. Por su parte, @tungphong (blackswan21 en Lichess) mantiene su presencia en los primeros lugares, y con 20 unidades se queda con el subcampeonato. @Lucianosky reaparece nuevamente, y con un score de 19 puntos se apoderó del bronce.
Al completar el torneo, 82 partidas fueron jugadas, un poco menos que la vez anterior, pero como contraparte el performance en general subió considerablemente. Vemos que las blancas puntuaron con una efectividad del 48% y las negras un 49%. Por supuesto, al ser un torneo Arena la tasa de berserk fue bastante grande: 46% para ser exactos. El numero total de movimientos sumando todas las partidas fue de 5722 lo cual es indicador de que las partidas fueron muy luchadas.

La situación en el tope no cambia mucho considerando que @tungphong y @eniolw han estado intercambiando lugares desde el comienzo de la liga. Esta vez, @tungphong pasa adelante con 60 puntos en total y un liderazo de 11 puntos sobre el segundo lugar. Supimos que @eniolw tuvo problemas técnicos y no pudo participar en este torneo. Su ausencia deja de manifiesto que al no participar en una válida los resultados pueden jugar en tu contra. Con todo ello, @eniolw sigue sólidamente en el segundo lugar con 49 puntos y una brecha de 10 puntos sobre el tercer lugar.
Al respecto, @tony1294 escala un puesto y retoma el tercer lugar, aunque con el mismo número de puntos que @samostically, quien desciende una posición debido a tener un performance menos favorable. Con todo ello, vemos que la pelea por el tercer lugar está muy reñida y estos jugadores son bastante peligrosos y pueden seguir escalando posiciones, desafiando a los primeros dos lugares.
@Lucianosky, por su parte, se mantiene sólido en la 5ta plaza separádonse por 7 puntos del jugador de Nigeria. Mucha expectativa en esta segunda mitad de la liga, cualquier resultado este próximo domingo tendrá un impacto en esta tabla así que estaremos siguiendo la acción con sumo detalle.

¡Tropiezos de último minuto!
Los fieles seguidores de nuestro reporte semanal saben que esta es una sección dedicada al sano análisis de determinadas posiciones que fueron jugadas en el torneo. En muchos casos hacemos uso del humor para darle un toque de jocosidad. Los comentarios que aquí se plasman son meramente dirigidos a la construcción de un mejor aprendizaje. Queremos que la comunidad sea autocrítica y que el nivel de la liga aumente aún más.
Muy bien veamos los errores más garrafales del día:
@vjap55 vs @eliaschess33
La posición de las negras es delicada. Tras una aguda lucha en el flanco de dama, las blancas han neutralizado la actividad del segundo jugador y aunado a esto, el monarca negro está en una situación bastante desesperada. Sin embargo, hay que encontrar el plan a seguir que materialice la partida. ¿Te atreves a proponer un plan efectivo? Pues, lo cierto es que las blancas no lo encontraron sino que más bien cometieron la terrible 31. Th1?? dejándose hacer un ataque doble: 31... Dxe4+, por lo cual abandonan. Qué pena.
Veamos otro ejemplo. La partida entre @pereu4uwatch y @blackswan21 fue toda una locura. El equipo de @chessbrotherspro estuvo revisando al detalle este encuentro, un juego en el que la táctica fue el máximo protagonista, con un constante va y viene de combinaciones díficiles de seguirle la pista. En determinado momento se alcanzó la siguiente posición:
@pereu4uwatch vs @blackswan21
En este momento las blancas plantean serias amenazas sobre el flanco rey de las negras. No obstante, el segundo jugador podría haber creado un tremendo contraataque con la jugada 18... Cb4! que deja en manifiesto la gran debilidad del rey blanco en el centro. Fue quizá un poco difícil de ver con escasos segundos en el reloj. Las negras en su lugar jugaron 18... Ah7 quizá especulando con la clavada sobre el alfil de f4. No obstante, @pereu4ivatel toma el control de la partida y remata elegantemente: 19. Dg4! Tf7 20. Ag2 Taf8 21. Axe4 Axe4 22. Axh6 Af3 23. Axg7+ y tras un par de jugadas las negras pierden. Felicidades a @pereu4ivatel quien vence a un jugador de mayor rating y cuya partida es una de las candidatas al premio de la mayor sorpresa.

- Fecha y hora: Domingo 21 de noviembre a las 19 GMT (3 pm hora de Venezuela).
- Modalidad y ritmo: En esta oportunidad haremos algo más interesante. Como habiamos dicho en las bases de la liga, la modalidad y el ritmo de los torneos 5, 6, 7 y 8 serán definidos por la comunidad. Debes votar por el ritmo y la modalidad que prefieras. La consulta ya está abierta a través de Dpoll. Visita este artículo para que participes en la votación. Los resultados se darán a conocer cuando la publicación de la encuesta caduque.

CHESS BROTHERS LEAGUE - Season 2 "Gens una sumus": Tournament 5 Report and New Announcement 💪♟

The first half of the league is history. The 5th valid was played and the excitement increases after this very interesting contest. With an average rating of 2016, 19 players participated in this competition, which was quite disputed.
This time the time control and format was decided by the community, being Arena 5+2 the result of popular opinion. Due to the good reception of this poll, we will continue with this call to the community. We believe that it strengthens the confidence and spirit of participation of all those who make life in this chess guild. Let's talk a bit about the results and statistics in general of this round.
First of all, we have a new winner: @jaki01! With a solid score of 22 points he imposed his level and was crowned as the clear champion of this round, a result that pleases us very much, because the leaderboard could be shaken a little, thus giving a sense of uncertainty for the final results. For his part, @tungphong (blackswan21 on Lichess) maintains his presence in the top places and with 20 units he takes the runner-up position. @Lucianosky reappears again, and with a score of 19 points he took the bronze.
At the end of the tournament, 82 games were played, a little less than the previous time, but on the other hand the overall performance increased considerably. We see that white scored with an effectiveness of 48% and black 49%. Of course, being an Arena tournament the berserk rate was quite high: 46% to be exact. The total number of moves adding up all the games was 5722 which is an indicator that the games were very hard fought.

The situation at the top doesn't change much considering that @tungphong and @eniolw have been swapping places since the start of the league. This time, @tungphong moves ahead with 60 total points and an 11-point lead over second place. We learned that @eniolw had technical problems and was unable to participate in the tournament. His absence makes it clear that by not participating in a round the results can work against you. With all this, @eniolw is still solidly in second place with 49 points and a gap of 10 points over the third place.
In this regard, @tony1294 climbs one position and takes the third place, although with the same number of points as @samostically, who drops one position due to a less favorable performance. All in all, we see that the fight for third place is very close and these players are quite dangerous and can continue to climb positions, challenging the first two places.
@Lucianosky, meanwhile, remains solidly in 5th place separated by 7 points from the Nigerian player. Much expectation in this second half of the league, any result this coming Sunday will have an impact on this table so we will be following the action in great detail.

Last minute stumbles!
The loyal followers of our weekly report know that this is a section dedicated to the sound analysis of certain positions that were played in the tournament. In many cases we make use of humor to give it a touch of fun. The comments expressed here are merely aimed at building a better learning process. We want the community to be self-critical and the level of the league to increase even more.
All right, let's take a look at the day's biggest blunders:
@vjap55 vs @eliaschess33
In this game we can notice that black's position is delicate. After a sharp fight on the queenside, white has neutralized the activity of the second player and in addition to this, the black monarch is in a rather desperate situation. However, it is necessary to find the plan to follow that will materialize the game. Do you dare to propose that plan? Well, the thing is that white player was nuts and played the terrible 31. Th1?? allowing a double attack: 31... Dxe4+ and white gives up.
Let's look at another example. The game between @pereu4uwatch and @blackswan21 was a crazy one. The @chessbrotherspro team was reviewing this match in detail, a game in which tactics were the main protagonist, with constant back and forth combinations that were hard to keep track of. At a certain point they reached the following position:

At this point white poses serious threats to black's kingside. However, the second player could have created a really effective counterattack with the move 18.... Nb4! exposing the great weakness of the white king in the center. It was perhaps a bit hard to see with scarce seconds on the clock. Black instead played 18.... Ah7 perhaps speculating with the pin on the bishop on f4. However, @pereu4ivatel takes control of the game and finishes off elegantly: 19. Qg4! Rf7 20. Bg2 Raf8 21. Bxe4 Bxe4 22. Bxh6 Bf3 23. Bxg7+ and after a couple of moves black loses. Congratulations @pereu4ivatel on beating a strong opponent. Your game is a candidate for the Greatest Upset Prize.
Announcement and Rules of Round 5

- Date and time: Sunday, November 21st at 19 GMT (3pm Venezuelan time).
- Format and time control: This time we will do something more interesting. As we said in the league rules, the pairing system and time control of tournaments 5, 6, 7 and 8 will be defined by the community. You must vote for the TC and format you prefer. The poll is now open through Dpoll. Visit this article to participate in the voting. On Saturday 2021/11/20 the winning choice will be announced via an update on this post.

I will never forget that mistake, that game with @stayoutoftherz hurt me. The game was almost a draw and I made a last second blunder.

Yeah, you were hanging on there, but since you berserked, you didn't have time think about the trap. We covered that in the video.
