Gamers' PC's Just Got Banned From California & More

in Informationwar3 years ago (edited)

This is pure insanity. High end Gamer PCs sold by Dell can not be shipped to California, Hawaii, Colorado, Washington, Oregon or Vermont due to power consumption. I mean everyday you think this clown world can't get any more insane and then something like this comes up to remind you, bro we're still on the first ascent up this roller coaster to hell.

I don't believe we are causing "Climate Change", but for those that do, the gamers with these PCs put out less carbon than any single appliance you buy coming from China. This is pure punishment to gamers & high end PC users. Oh, and I'm sure the Elite's kids will get a "carbon credit" pass.

So long E-sporters in those states. Crypto miners better run for the hills too, if there are any still left in those states. Enjoy the Great Reset ride plebs!

Didn't know that's a thing.

What about individual computer parts?

Neither did I until I found this article.

I'm talking with my brother about the parts bit right now. The only thing I can think of is they will ban certain PSUs, GPUs, etc. I think I may have found a new business opportunity though, running dangerous computer parts across state lines!

ha! Who would have ever thought that reselling non-stolen PC rigs could end up being criminal. I wonder if they have any regulations against air conditioners or heaters in those states. Those chew up a bunch electric too don't they. Sorry folks, it's wood stoves only for you! Wait, we can't burn wood, we have to find something else!

There are actually freaks in Europe talking about cancelling AC because it uses too much energy so I'm sure some loons in California are thinking the same.

BRB, gotta head over to AZ to pick up a shipment of 1200W PSUs.

California is also facing rolling blackouts last i looked. I'm really happy I don't live over there. I don't understand the mindset.

If and when these anti-AC rules come into place I'm quite certain it wont apply to the rich who will be allowed to buy "carbon credits" or something like that so that they, and only they can have AC. Take your rights away and then sell them back to you. That's the government way!

Hive Power Up Day - August 1st 2021 - Hive Power Delegation

I'm sure they can still get it but look at the states on that list and think about what you know about them politically. Are you at all surprised? I suppose only Colorado looks out of place there.

Yes this is beyond stupid. I live in Colorado which is apparently now a vassal state of California. Fortunately my house is on the market and I'll be moved out of Colorado somewhere that is not a vassal state to California by September 8th at the latest.

If I were in Colorado and had done what I considered and installed Solar to handle my power needs I'd be thinking of a class action lawsuit over this nonsense as now they are dictating what I can use the power produced on MY property for.

As to the BUILD YOUR OWN crowd which I have been a member of for two or more decades. That is all fine and dandy until it starts to apply to PARTS they decide use too much power.

I want to see some accountability held by these authoritarian/tyrants that think they can FORCE the way the rest of us choose to live.

I am SO glad I am moving.

It sucks to have to move from a beautiful place because totalitarians have taken it over though. It's strange that I am freer in Japan than I am in California. Thank god I only have to come to Cali for work these days and don't live here.

I wonder if a case in one of these communist states would even get a hearing? I have lost any faith I once had in the judicial system.

The one glimmer of hope I see in this is it's going to piss off a lot of people who were fence sitters. Then when more of these asinine regulations come into effect it's going to piss off another chunk of fence sitters. I only hope it won't be too late by then.

Best of luck on your move.

I am actually very happy where I am moving. House 2x the size, 4 acres, pond, just outside city limits in for a small town. If my house sells for more potentially 12 acres instead of just 4. Already have the house and 4 acres locked. If my house sells for more than what I have as a minimum guarantee then I'll go for an additional 8 acres.

I'll have some profit left over. I can get that simply due to selling my house in Colorado. I paid $150K for my house in 2011. It is now worth $451-$498K.

It is getting too expensive to live in Colorado. Also where I am moving is beautiful in other ways. The people are still friendly. That laws are much more freedom oriented.

California will begin restricting "computers with high-speed networking capability, multi-screen notebooks, notebooks with cyclical behavior, and monitors with high refresh rates" in December

Does "high-speed networking capability" really use that much energy? And WTF is a notebook with "cyclical behavior"? How do citizens of these states put up with these idiots?

Make everywhere Texas!
