Do you remember where you were when 9/11 happened? I do. I was in Tokyo having dinner with my DJ friends at El Torito (I think it was El Torito) in Shibuya. After dinner had finished I walked across the street to the internet cafe to check my mail and chat with friends on AOL Instant Messenger(AIM). One friend immediately messaged me about what was happening. Life changed that day.
I have my thoughts about what really happened & who was behind 9/11, but I want to start by focusing on saying a prayer for those who lost their lives that day, the innocent people on the planes, at work and especially the hero firefighters & police officers who ran into the Twin Towers to save others. They cared not for their own safety, but the safety of others. They sacrificed their lives, liberty & their pursuit of happiness so that others would have theirs. Something men around the world are lacking these days.
I pray people remember & reflect on where we are today. Totalitarianism is growing by the day in the Western Countries where it was never supposed to be able to do so again. I believe 9/11 was the first domino to fall in this march towards tyranny, COVID is the second. Both benefit the same people.
Remember, reflect & wake up.

I was in a class in college. The professor was getting upset with us because people were getting and taking phone calls in class. When we got on the internet and started reading articles we thought that it was just satire that was in very poor taste. It was surreal what was going on.
I have my opinions about what really happened that day but that's not what you are talking about here. Just asking where we were. I was in a classroom for one of the most boring and useless classes I took in my entire higher education.
That must have been wild being in school. Since I was overseas I don't think the impact was as strong as your environment. It definitely was like living in a dream or a movie. It was something that wasn't supposed to happen to us.
