I had something entirely different planned for my post tonight – something curation related, but I have been positively “de-railed” a few times and for that reason, I opted for a different direction. Within PHC we recently launched an initiative titled as my post is. Unlike our other community initiatives, which generally hit the blockchain with a SEA of posts, this one has been made more flexible so members can do it as and when they wish. The idea being, that they speak about their personal experience and perception of PHC as a community. I was NOT going to participate in this – for obvious reasons, but tonight I changed my mind whilst half way through my other post venture – and for good reason.
I know I may sound like a stuck record to some of you – and for that I apologise, but this is something I feel particularly strong about and anyone who knows “the real me” knows that when I am passionate about something, I not only speak out – but I will press on it again and again until I start seeing some kind of change.
It is GREAT and all to see new people joining this space – but AGAIN no attention is being given to the people who have been here for YEARS… punting, working, sharing and what I am starting to see a LOT of that honestly makes me sad is THOSE individuals getting their white flags ready… yip. They are packing their bags and looking elsewhere. The reasons for this are endless and unique in every single instance – but no matter the reasons it REALLY saddens me that this is unfolding on a daily basis!
There is NOTHING unhealthier in business than “high staff turnover” – it simply shows that the people who work there feel undervalued, unappreciated and frustrated. It is an incredibly bad reflection on the business as a whole. We have FAR too much of that around here… people feeling like nothing they say or do here even matters. Can you blame them?! Not really… I said it in my post the other day and will say it again now – if people do not feel like there is VALUE in what they share with others, then that passion to share “it” with those people begins to diminish. And the VALUE (for the publisher) arrives in the form of engagement. Say what you will – that is the short of it!!
I have had my days of saying “SCREW THIS SPACE” – plenty I assure you, lol! Running a community that competes and speaks against the negatives in this space does me NO favours as an individual here. I have probably got more haters than I do the opposite – but that is ok. I know what my “mission” is – and that is to bring together the people who hold the TRUE passion. So, if I were to say “why” YOU should join our PHC space… it would be for that simple reason! If you are passionate about Hive, your own journey within it – as well as the journey of those you are connected with… our community space is a GOOD place for you! How about – you join our server… see what “we” are all about. If you don’t like it, leave!
INVITING HIVE PEEPS
Connecting with other individuals, communicating efficiently and working together effectively is one of the most critical aspects of any successful community project, business or initiative. The Power House Creatives has been working together as a team to support and grow the genuinely passionate individuals on our blockchain since October 2017. We are proactive on all social media platforms - actively supporting the content published on our community feed. We work closely with the founders of @theterminal - who are members of our community too - assisting and guiding newer members of Hive, creating a seamless transition from an introductory space to one which nurtures the enthusiasm and creativity of each individual.

Hopefully Torum comes out with a mobile version soon. Truth is, I hardly ever write from a laptop anymore. It's all from my cellphone. Yes, I know. There's plenty I can't do from a cellphone.
Another project on the horizon that I blogged about is Revolution Populi. Using LINK as an oracle and to fulfil smart contracts as a reward system, it sounds interesting. They claim a launch with second layer dApps already available. We'll see.
As we move forward, other social blockchains are going to rise up. HIVE has a relatively low level of competition for now.
It sure would be nice to have a community space like we do on Discord, here on HIVE. All that engagement moved to the chain would help HIVE.
Of course, all the promise of a mooning BTC and then the SUSHI debacle deflates people's hopes. It never helps engagement around here. Things will get better with a solid core of enthusiastic Hivers. I think so.

I confess I have not been a member of any curation community since the demise of @thesteemengine and the departure of @enchantedspirit.., but where else is there to go?

I suppose there are plenty of Discord "spaces" but they are not really communities in the true sense of the word -so in that respect, I would probably agree with you. PHC probably is one of the last remaining communities that has been around since steemengine days and still functions as an ACTUAL community.... which myself and my team will continue to build whilst retaining that core value.
This is why I speak out like I do, so that people are feeling lost, despondent or simply fed up in general - can realise that there IS in fact a space for them in which that can change for the positive. !tip

I can only summarize my perception of PHC in two words: Good Vibration. Beautiful people like you who fight for what they love and refuse to see it die but rather push it to sustain and grow. I am Venezuelan, I know what it is like to lose essential things and continue to fight. I love PHC because it breathes good energy that inspires one to grow, to continue, one feels a support even when one does not have many months in the community. I love Powerhousecreatives. I was a little absent due to personal problems and time, but here I am again and very happy to feel at home again. You are excellent and I like your sincerity and way of saying things because you go directly to the problem not with bad intention but quite the opposite.
