Greetings, everyone
Today I want to share with you a song I first heard in an English class here in Venezuela, when I was just learning the language. In was given to us in a lab activity to fill in the blanks the missing words in the lyrics.
I fell in love with Don McLean and Van-Gogh.
I think that this song is beautiful and way before we had all the biopics and documentaries about this amazing painter, this songs tells his story wonderfully.
I ended up taking History of painting as an elective at the end of my Bachelor's degree. That's how much this song awaken my interest in art and artists and the stories behind them.
I agree! It's one of my favorite songs!

lol there is access to wine, but its about a 45 min drive away and have you seen the armed tanks on our roads? lol... although we do have connections with road block info, so seriously considering the trip. The night in jail and the fine will be a high price to pay though lol...
and no, we just had a really good stash of stuff. haha! Only finished my wine yesterday... so yes, spirits - and no, didn't see any worm... but speaking of such, reminds me of this... lol:

Here is a "Dark Electro Cover" of that song by MACHINA X, which puts a very melancholic twist to the song in an Emo–Gothic manner. Mesmerizing!

The Hooters - And We Danced
The unique instrument played at the beginning and at the end of the song is a Hohner Melodica.
In the slang of the time it was called a "hooter" thus the name of the band.
