2020 ROUND 47 (Closes 11am UTC 24th December 2020)

WHAT YOU WIN

WINNER

After 7 days I will decide which track I like the most! The winning track selected (by me) will win all the liquid earnings that this post accumulates and the confirmation of funds transfer will be shared in the following round.

SPECIAL MENTIONS

Sometimes you guys and gals give me SUCH awesome selections that it is really hard to choose just one winner.... so if there are any additional tracks which I absolutely LOVE I will send those individuals a tip of 1 Hive via their original comment OR via direct transfer.

HOW TO ENTER

All you have to do is share a link in the comments to a song that you are really enjoying at the moment - whether it is new or old it does not matter and neither does the music genre... whether you have loved it your entire life or just for a day is irrelevant! just NO personal promo links please! And please do not look at MY track genre selection as a guide to what you should or should not share... I have an incredibly eclectic taste in music and will no doubt continue to shock most of you as the weekly rounds unfold haha!

text16.png

Right! With the logistics out the way... let's get to it!

MY TRACK SELECTION/S FOR THE WEEK

which is of no consequence really haha - but what fun would it be if I didn't get to share with you all as well!

text16.png

Applause for @klye!
I loved the mentions for @joanstewart - Heart Of Glass / @thekittygirl - Lost and Found / and @ bigtom13 Sonny Boy's Christmas Blues ... wow

Thank you! I am so glad you enjoyed the track I shared last week! 😃

After 2020 we need to stand together more than before, so many unknowns have come our way, too many falling through the cracks!

Going into this Feastive Season, I wish everyone safety, home, family and friends, if you have all you are deemed fortunate. Cast a thought to those with a lot less....

Invitation to join in this week goes out to @silversaver888 @javillnares and @calisto24

Pink Floyd - On The Turning Away

Great Floyd tune and cool vid too. Well done.

Some music never ages, glad you enjoyed it like I did.

GOTTA GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE ... how about you?

Joey Gilmore's "Steal Away" ... his blues to the bone guitar gets into every cell of my body.. makes it talk my language

Nice blues, also enjoy breaking away listening to this amazing period, so much character, these guys used to know how to make instruments talk!

You got it.. 😃👍

❄ Música de Navidad Jazz - Villancicos Navideños en Inglés Tradicionales Jazz - FELIZ NAVIDAD 2020 y año nuevo 2021!

Congratulations @klye, the mentions for @joanstewart - @thekittygirl - @bigtom13
@jaynie

Wow. How cool that Sonny Boy Williamson made the grade. When I saw him in 1970 I became a fan of the blues instantly and it goes on yet today. I'm doing the research for my Friday music post right now (listening to music) and will have an entry a little later.

Thanks Jaynie. I really appreciate the mention and the initiative. It's a really good deal!

💛 Thanks for the special mention! 😊

This week, I share Gregory Alan Isakov, a 41-year-old songwriter/musician who was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. His family immigrated to the US when he was 7-years-old because of his fathers work. He began touring with a band when he was only 16-years-old!

Here, I am sharing my second-favorite song of his. He did two or three renditions of my favorite of his songs ("Was I Just Another One"), but I can't find a video corresponding to what I think is his best rendition of that song. This song ("Caffeine") is a close second to that favorite, though, and I first heard them performed back-to-back where one song gently slid into the other without a break in the music. It was awesome!

Isakov's music is usually sweet and mellow. In fact, you might have to turn the volume up just a bit to appreciate this song in all its splendor. 🙂

Gregory Alan Isakov never heard his music, very mellow, nice touch to take the edge off at the end of the day.

Leaving so young he is American, with very few memories possibly of growing up in South Africa nice learning about him thanks @thekittygirl

Christmas is coming ...
Remember a great singer!

When I want to cheer up I listen to this kind of music.

Well, since "a little different" and multicultural seems to be the order of the day, how about a little Mongolian jazz/funk/pop? Strangely retro, and strangely evocative...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=qsNtauKEzWw

We are having a difficult time here and this made us sing along

Well...I come across this post while listening some music....and I loved it..here it is...ots a Punjabi song but quite a cool one..

Lol when you're still working in december and people sending you kak emails this has to be your sound track

Tis the Season...

There are a lot of great music out there but I am currently enjoying this song Teri bhabhi
It's a great Indian song with awesome dance

As always, thank you for the mention! Here's my weekly contribution, from one of my top favorite bands.

Fantastic romantic for this week, @jaynie:

Darn I’m in love with this song and can’t get enough of it:

Wow, really like that! There are some cool sounds coming out of Scandinavia these days...

Any recommendations?

Hi!
My contribution!

Cool beans, last 4 Non Blondes then Blondie good fun playing old 'chicks' bands, now to spend some time sourcing a guy or two, who knows where the mood takes you. Music is definitely good for the soul.... Have a wonderful day!

Congratulations @klye for swooping in and spinning a disk.

Hello there!

Here's a very cool performance of "Bring Me To Life", by Amy Lee and Wagakkiband, a Japanese Rock band which uses Japanese Traditional Instruments. 😉

Hope you enjoy it!

I believe this song is a winner. Coming from the UK based singer, Michael Kiwanuka. In this song titled "Love and hate", He talks about his pains, his struggles and his victories. Please take your time and enjoy. This is a masterpiece.

Meet Bruno Mars, a multi-faceted artist, who followed in the footsteps of my favorite singer Michael Jackson, I love all his songs and choreography.
Bruno Mars - That’s What I Like (Official Video)

I think u should try listening to Ed sheeran. Tittle is photograph.
Its juz wah u need when u wanna hear words spoken out loud

Hi everybody,
This is my contribution:

Best regards

& now for something completely different:

Shamisen Under The Cherry Blossoms II - Ki&Ki

A bit older, but found it only last week.

this is my first ever entry and i will start with a song that best describes 2020! watch the video clip as well, the small details are the ones that matter

The bass player from my old band is quite the pot stirrer over on Facebook and he asked what there was to like about jazz. The question stuck in my head. I wanted to tell him to to listen to the bass and drums in the small combo's post WW2 into the 60's.

Relaxed ambience when jazz is played like this, reminds me of many things during my childhood. Amazing share and yes piano, guitars, big bass and drums is all it takes to have a wonderful evening to listen or to dance to.

Hi! I often forget how much I like this type of jazz. My old school Long Beach State University has a jazz radio station on campus!

One does tend to forget, when growing up, going into a Hotel one often heard jazz music fill the space of a foyer.

Large departmental store would have live music near the now "old fashioned" tearooms found in large stores. A lot more live bands than one sees today.

Hey Jaynie! Hope you're well! :)
Here my song, a little bit of Xmas!

This was an easy pick this week. The Title says it all really.

When I am down, or just plain 'gatvol' I crank this tune up. Cannot stay miserable ...

Happy weekend to you all!

Happy week to you all!

Hello people. Christmas is coming so Don´t worry, be happy ;-)
