Welcome to the Bee a Better You Community here on Hive. I am hoping that this community will be a place where we can all come together and become better.

When my wife and I thought about starting this community, at first we wanted it to be more of a fitness related community where people can share their fitness journeys in hopes of staying motivated and motivating others, but there are so many other ways that we could all improve ourselves and those around us.

So many people around the world are feeling the effects that COVID has had and it has affected us all more than we know. I know personally, ever since the lockdowns with COVID starting, it has really affected my motivation to workout and eat properly. The daily stresses that come along with the pandemic can be overwhelming, so we wanted to create a place here on Hive where we can all come together to be better.

So what is allowed here?

Well, that is a tough question to answer right now since there are so many things that can go into improving one's mindset and health. So this will be a list of acceptable topics that can change with time. We will be adding and removing topics as the community grows and we see how this community is utilized. So for now, here are some of the different topics that you can post about here in the Bee a Better You Community.

Fitness posts:

Are you looking to start a new fitness program to improve your health and lose some of that lockdown weight? Well post your workout routines here, but make sure to post some pictures of your workout as well.

Some ideas for fitness posts are:

  • Hiking
  • Walks or runs
  • Gym routines

Healthy food options

I love food and that may be one of the main reasons that my health is the way it is right now. So I am always looking for delicious and healthy options to add to my recipe book.

When making a food post to this community, make sure that you write it up as a recipe so that others can make the dish as well. I know there are already food communities out there here on Hive, but I think food is one of the things that is just as important as working out when it comes to getting fit. My goal is that this community feed will be filled with motivational materials to help everyone reach their goals.

Mental Health Posts

So this topic is going to be one that I am sure will evolve over time. Mental Health is extremely important for overall well being. So if you are having a hard mental health day and just want to get your feelings out, this will be a good place to do that. Writing over the past few years here on the blockchain has really helped with my mental health.

I am working on getting more curators for this community. I have managed a few successful communities here on Hive and I really want this one to be a place where we can all come together and grow for the betterment of all of us.

With that being said, this will be a heavily moderated community as well. Abusers will be muted and flagged if necessary.

Plagiarism will not be tolerated at all. We also do not want this community to be a place where people think they can just post a few images with motivational text over them.

We would like to see engagement between users here and we will be considering your engagement levels when it comes to curating posts. So if you are someone that just posts 10+ times a day to as many communities as possible and never takes the time to comment on anyone's posts or only replies to comments on your own posts, you should post somewhere other than this community.

I have some cool contests planned for this community as we move forward. I am hoping to see some cool posts from our awesome members of Hive. Together we can all build a really fun place where we all become better.

This is great, I must say it's like a sign from heaven. I tell you the reason: a few days ago I met a person whose existential problems are very similar (not to say exact) to mine. I have felt very identified with him, it is overwhelming. But the beautiful thing about this friendship and if life allows us (future relationship) is that we both want to change our lives, in one way or another, we want it to be more positive and healthy, we need to fight with our inner demons.

The best way to start is by expressing ourselves and making it known that we need that change, both physically and mentally. So I think @bruscocf and I will love this community as much as the other people.

Ya, I think this community can be good for so many people here and a great tool to help onboard new users to the platform that want to share their journey in life.

Right on! Coming from a person who loves cannabis, it is probably hard for some to fathom that I too always look for ways to improve myself. Even if it’s minor, like waking up before 9am, or going to sleep by 11, these things have drastically improved my life!

Sleep is one of the most important factors for your health! It influences so much, especially how the body functions!

Greetings friends, I love to see that every day committed communities are created and there is a lot of diversity, where we can find a space and feel comfortable expressing our ideas and sharing with others.

I would love to handle a lot about mental health issues, I feel totally identified because Hive has helped me a lot to keep it, because I have had to overcome many very hard things and live with someone who has schizophrenia, so it would be my form of catharsis also to tell you my story and see if with it I can help others.

I can't imagine my life without Hive, without all the people around me. I am currently suffering from chronic depression, which keeps me in silence and isolated from everything. I know it will be very beneficial for everyone.

Thank you for creating these spaces.

This community is perfect for us, it will remind us that outside of work we are human, very human.

Yes :). Dear Road, you know of my battles. You are a witness to all that I have had to overcome and you have been there for me, which I appreciate very much. In the same way I know your battles and sufferings, I know that we would do a lot here, a strong personal work, telling our stories to see if they help someone else, who may be in our same position, I have noticed how warm everyone is, I think it is an excellent way to encourage us and give us strength.

I am looking forward to seeing your posts here and learn about how you are becoming better. Hive has done a lot for me as well over the years. It has been an amazing outlet.

Many of us will feel identified with this beautiful community brother, I will be happy to be with you and help each other to be well both mentally and physically, we will all be part and help each other to overcome any obstacle of the life, together we can achieve great things.

We will move forward without looking back to enjoy more when we reach our destinations.
