All my eleven years in the teaching profession, I observe that, children's concentration during teaching can not last beyound twenty-five minutes.
they last longer when their hands are practicing.
What about in cases where we do not have all the resources available for teaching for teaching aid, I suggest that we;
- Take the children out of the class for some play time and engage them in questions regarding your topic for the moment
- Sing rhymes and demonstrate, showing them how to demonstrate by doing it first, them ask them to sing along.
At the end of the day,the teacher is happy, the learners are happy, mission accomplished.
Impacting children is non-negotiable, that's why we must give all it takes.
