Shavasana is an asana performed at the end of yoga practice. Actually, one can feel tired in the body while doing yoga asana. In such a situation, it is done in the last to relax body and mind.

This is a very easy posture. While doing this asana, you have to lie down in a quiet place and leave your body loose. Since it does not require any kind of physical exercise, a person of any age can do Shavasana very easily. When you get up by doing this asana, there is an amazing energy in your body. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the 15 minute "reset" I experience during shivasana, after yoga practice. It is truly revolutionary and allows our bodies to "store" the new information for retrieval and copying another time. It's especially helpful to have someone (like a yoga teacher) assist you to be in perfect alignment, so you can feel what REAL alignment should feel like.

Nice post and important for stressful times.

I agree, Shavasana is a great way to wind down a yoga session.

However, not a big fan of people wearing socks during the yoga session☹️

Oh yes, yoga and all its practices are very beneficial, but does the practice truly cure disease? I'm not saying it doesn't😀, but I think putting a medical disclaimer at the end of your article might be a good idea.😀

We wouldn't want to disappoint anyone that has a different experience, depending on what ails them.
