[ENG/ESP] Crispy Pastelito with Cheese | Pastelitos Crujientes con Queso

Hi Hive Community, I made some tasty and crunchy pastelitos with cheese, simple and quick to prepare.

Saludos a toda mi gente de Hive, preparé unos ricos y crujientes pastelitos con queso, sencillos y rápidos de preparar.


Crispy Pastelito with Cheese

Pastelitos Crujientes con Queso


Ingredients

500 g of self-rising wheat flour
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup of chicken broth
½ tablespoon of salt
½ tablespoon of sugar

Ingredientes

500 g de harina de trigo con leudante
2 cucharadas de aceite
1 taza de caldo de pollo
½ cucharada de sal
½ cucharada de azúcar


Method

Preparación

In a container, place the wheat flour, add the salt, sugar and oil with achiote to give the dough a nice color.

En un envase, coloca la harina de trigo, se agrega la sal, el azúcar y el aceite onotado para que le dé un bonito color a la masa.

Then add the cup of chicken broth, mix everything, then knead until it reaches consistency, when the dough comes off easily from the hands, it's placed on a floured counter, it's stretched with a roller for approximately 3 minutes, then placed in the cup and covered with a cloth for 20 minutes.

Luego se agrega la taza de caldo de pollo, mezclas todo, luego vas amasando hasta que agarre consistencia, cuando la masa se desprende fácilmente de las manos, se coloca en un mesón enharinado, se estira con un rodillo por 3 minutos aproximadamente, luego se coloca en la tasa y se cubre con un paño por 20 minutos.

After 20 minutes, put the dough back on the counter, knead for 3 more minutes and then roll with the roller until the dough is very thin, the thinner the better because when placed in the pan it fries faster and you have a very crispy thin layer left.

Begin to chop the dough into squares depending on the desired size, then add the filling, cheese, meat or others.

Al pasar los 20 minutos, vuelve a colocar la masa en el mesón, amasa por 3 minutos más y luego estira con el rodillo hasta que la masa te quede bien delgada, mientras más delgada mucho mejor porque al colocarla en la sartén se frita más rápido y te queda una capa delgada muy crujiente.

Comienza a picar la masa en cuadros dependiendo del tamaño deseado, después se agrega el relleno, queso, carne u otros.

Place the other layer on top and step on the edges with a fork, if you notice that it doesn't grip the edges well, spread it with a little water on the edges so that it seals well and the filling doesn't come off.

Se coloca la otra capa por encima y se pisa por las orillas con un tenedor, si notas que no te agarra bien las orillas, se unta con un poquito de agua por las orillas para que selle bien y no se le salga el relleno.

When you have all the filled cupcakes, place them in the pan with the oil quite hot, in my case my pan is very small and I fry them one by one, turn them over until they are golden brown on both sides.

Cuando ya tenga todos los pastelitos rellenos, los coloca en la sartén con el aceite bastante caliente, en mi caso mi sartén es muy pequeña y los frité uno a uno, se da la vuelta hasta que estén dorados por ambos lados.

You will have some tasty cupcakes, with the dough well seasoned with chicken broth, a touch of sugar and very crispy for the thin dough.

Te quedarán unos sabrosos pastelitos, con la masa bien condimentada con caldo de pollo, el toque de azúcar y bien crujientes por la masa delgada.
