"Side Dish Masala Mayo Cheese Cauliflower"

I made masala mayo cheese cauliflower as a side dish. Curry spice, mayo, and cheese are the golden members of the recipe. Additionally, cauliflower is a very tasty vegetable. It is a very healthy side dish for any kind of the main dish. Good with fish, meat, or other vegetables.

In Japan, people usually prepare many side dishes with rice and soup. Japanese cuisine needs a lot of small dishes as you know. "Fuku Shoku (副食)" or "Fuku Sai (副菜)" is very important for Japanese meals. "Fuku (副)" means side, "Shoku(食)" means food, and "Sai(菜)" means vegetables in Japanese. A traditional homemade meal is usually very simple. Even for school lunches, there are side dishes, soup, and the main dishes are very common. Many people think about recipes almost all the time in Japan like "What should I make for the main dish today?," "How about the side dishes?," or "What soup matches the main dish?" and more... We have a lot of cooking shows about side dishes on TV shows between the news.

Curry is huge in Japan. Japanese people love curry. There are many curry restaurants everywhere in Japan. The history of curry dishes in Japan is pretty long probably in 1906 in the Meiji period. There are traditional homemade-style curry restaurants, fast food curry restaurants, Authentic Indian or Nepalese curry restaurants. Even convenience stores are selling delicious curry. Also, schools serve curry for lunch, and we often cook homemade curry as well. Have you ever heard about "Soup Curry' before? "Soup Curry" originally became popular in Sapporo city in Japan. Anyway, I will introduce a side dish called Masala Mayo Cheese Cauliflower using masala powder today!

副食のマサラマヨチーズカリフラワーを作りました。カレーパウダー、マヨネーズ、チーズはレシピの黄金メンバーと言っても過言ではないと思います。それにカリフラワーはとてもおいしい野菜です。ヘルシーで魚や肉・他の野菜など、どんな主食にも合うと思います

日本の家庭料理では、たいてい主食の他に副食が何品かあり、さらに汁物がつくことが多いと思います。日本食には小皿が欠かせません。副食または野菜の場合は副菜とも言います。伝統的な日本食はとてもシンプルだと思います。給食にも副食やスープがついています。毎日「今日のメインは何にしようかな?」、「それじゃあ副食はどうしようか?」、「メインに合う汁物はなにかな?」などと考える人が多いのではないでしょうか。ニュースの合間に流れるクッキングショーでも副食のレシピを紹介していることが多いです。

カレーは日本でとても人気があります。ほとんどの人が大好きです。日本のカレーの歴史は結構古く、1906年の明治時代からだそうです。昔ながらのカレーを出すお店、ファストフードのカレー屋さん、本格的なインドやネパールカレー屋さんがそこら中にあります。コンビニにも美味しいカレーが並んでいますし、家庭料理でもカレーは大人気メニューです。スープカレーも札幌発祥のカレーとしていまだに人気です。今回はマサラカレー粉を使った、マサラマヨチーズカリフラワーのレシピを紹介します!

Ingredients

・Cauliflower 1 bunch
・Cheese 20g
・Mayonnaise 2-3 tablespoons
・Masala curry powder 1-2 teaspoons
・Pepper to taste

材料

・カリフラワー 1株
・チーズ 20g
・マヨネーズ 大さじ2−3
・カレー粉 小さじ1−2
・こしょう 少々

  1. Wash cauliflower and cut it into pieces.
  2. Boil it until softer.
  3. Drain the hot water into the strainer.
    1. カリフラワーを洗ってきる。
    2. やわらかくなるまで煮る。
    3. ザルにあげて水をきる。

  1. Grind pepper and spread on top of boiled cauliflower.
  2. Put mayonnaise, cheese, curry powder on top of boiled cauliflower and mix it.
  3. Bake it at 350 F in the oven for around 30 minutes until the cheese becomes crispy.
    1. こしょうをひいて茹でたカリフラワーの上にふる。
    2. マヨネーズ、チーズ、カレー粉を茹でたカリフラワーの上にかけ、混ぜる。
    3. 180度のオーブンで30分くらい、チーズがカリカリになるまで焼く。

I used Shivani's Kitchen curry masala. This spice is very healthy and easy to use. It's good with soup so, my husband often puts it in chicken cup noodles! There is no Japanese version so, I translated the instructions.
