I want to share my experience about trying snacks from Taiwan for the first time.
Shihlin.
According to various sources, Shihlin is a night market that sells various kinds of food in a district in Taiwan. In this Shihlin district there is a snack that is a favorite of visitors, crispy fried chicken with special spices. (Shihlinsource)
In Indonesia, Shihlin was later turned into a restaurant that sells Taiwanese crispy fried chicken, then, people began to call it Shihlin chicken.
As for me, the first time I heard the name Shihlin was when the pandemic case was increasing in my country and the lockdown policy was set. When people start trying lots of new foods and new recipes. then, my friend tried to make his own shihlin with the help of a recipe from google or the cookpad recipe app.
Yesterday, because I was very curious about the taste of this shihlin and still didn't have time to try to make it myself, I decided to order from a shop called Shihliin & Wings which is only three kilometers from my place.
In addition to providing a variety of flavors from shihlin, Shihilin & Wings also provides a drink menu in the form of palm sugar iced coffee called Healthier.
The menu for this Helathier iced coffee include:
Healthier AI.GO iced coffee with recipe, low fat milk, palm sugar, plant-based cream, and special espresso.
Signature milk ice coffee, according to the information in the shop, for this menu the recipe is a secret belonging to Shihlin & Wings.
Brulee Latte Camouran Ice Cream from milk flavored with cream brulee and special espresso.
Ice Butterscotch Latte, a blend of flavored milk with halal butterscotch and special espresso.
For the Taiwanese crispy chicken menu, Shihlin & Wings provides many flavors:

- Fried Indomie

- Blackpepper
- Balado
- Seaweed
- Roasted corn
- Extra hot
- Salted Egg
- Cheese

- Salty Cheese
- Creamy Cheese

- Fire barbecue
- Mayonnaise

I chose Mayonnaise sauce with extra hot spices, for small sizes starting at IDR 17K-21K. while the large size is priced at IDR 24-25K.
This was my first time trying Taiwanese style crispy fried chicken shilin and I fell in love immediately. Hehehe.
