Es ist soweit, dachte nicht es dauert so lange trotz politischer und wirtschaftlicher Situation, dem absoluten Arbeitgebermarkt - nach 150+ wirklich primär sehr guten Gesprächen starte ich am Montag was Neues und bin sehr zufrieden. manchnal muss man auf den besten Fit warten - Danke an alle, die mir zugesprochen haben die letzten Monate!

New job, same old lessons (and thanks, Hive)
I’m starting a new job in enterprise sales next week. Feels good to finally write that sentence after the last 6+ months.
Not gonna lie: this was the hardest job market I’ve ever experienced. And I’ve seen a few cycles. Hiring freezes, roles disappearing mid-process, “great fit but not right now”, and a general sense of uncertainty everywhere. Tech, non-tech, sales, leadership, doesn’t matter. Tough times.
So if you’re searching right now: you’re not broken. The market is.
A word on titles (because Hive is honest)
One funny thing I keep noticing: job titles still mean a lot to the outside world, especially in Germany.
I’ve had Director and VP titles before. Sounded fancy. Looked good on paper. Pay slips were… less impressive.
These days, an Enterprise Account Executive can earn more than plenty of “VP Sales” roles, simply because they own deals, outcomes, and revenue. Less internal politics, more reality.
At some point you stop being hungry for titles and start being hungry for impact, ownership, and results. Took me a while to learn that.
Why I’m writing this here
Because Hive community has been a constant during this whole phase.
Posting, reading, commenting, sometimes ranting, sometimes escaping into music or random thoughts. No algorithms screaming at you, no fake applause, just people.
So: thanks to everyone here who supported me directly or indirectly. The DMs on Discord, WhatsApp, the comments, the quiet encouragement. It mattered more than you might think.
And yes, fingers crossed that not only the job situation improves, but also the rest of the crypto world. Would be nice if Hive price, markets, and general sentiment all decided to move up together for once during a strange political time. We’ve earned it.
Good community. Good people. Still here.

Well done I know times are hard. My brother took a year to find employment and he is a lawyer and firms are not hiring. Titles mean nothing if you know your job and have known many people in the past who used to hide behind their titles before they were found out.

Congrats on getting a new Job, It's crazy how so many people fall for fancy sounding position names. One of the things that always stuck to me in that regard is 'floor manager' which pretty much means cleaning lady.
