It's time to realize that our kids are now grown up
Finally 2020 ended with some joys. My son completed 14 years, and it's hard to feel that 14 years just went like that. Situations are getting normal, hopefully, it does not get worse again. Though, there are reports about 62 people coming to my place from Britain, the govt is just fooling us by saying that they cannot be traced, and there is nothing to worry, because they might have completed the quarantine period and do not pose any threat. A person coming from abroad, should have gone through immigration, and isn't it a joke to tell that they cannot be traced !! Any way, we no longer can live with fears. So we decided to take the kids out for a dinner.
My wife could not join us, the reason being my father is now with us. He is 80 years old and need to be looked after. He was a very fit, fine and cheerful man living in my native place ( which is a hours drive), but because of his age, we restricted his movements due to Corona. And unfortunately, he has now developed Dementia based on the initial diagnosis. It's hard to accept it, but that's what the doctors are telling. He never agreed to stay with us in apartments, but now, he does not show much resistance. I have decided to keep him with us and try to increase his movements by having regular walks since one week. At least it would be better to try to make him active again than let him stay inside a room because of Covid fear. My kids are also keeping him busy and I think, this is what the great family culture we have. We see some positive improvements in just one week.
Hopefully 2021 will bring joy for all of us in all aspects of live. Wish you and your family a very happy and joyful 2021.

Beautiful family! It's really sad that elderly people have been the most restricted during this time...going out can help their mental state but they are most vulnerable. Your wife is a good daughter for spending time with him, I'm sure he enjoys it.
