Greetings, my dear Hive Ladies. Happy Thursday to all, I hope you are doing well and enjoying good health and well-being.
I'm back to participate in edition #266 of the contest that the Ladies of Hive invite us to every week. On this occasion, I will answer one of the questions proposed by our friend @priyanarc this week:
2️⃣ If your family celebrated any holidays when you were a child, do you still have any decorations or ritual objects that were used in your childhood? If so, what is it and what does it mean to you?
When I think about the holidays of my childhood, the first thing that comes to mind is Christmas and the special moment of setting up the nativity scene at home. That ritual became a symbol that has stayed with me.
For me, the nativity scene is a vivid memory of those days when the whole family gathered around the table to open boxes, dust off little mountains, arrange little houses, and find “the perfect place” for each figure. It was a moment that brought us together effortlessly, where we all collaborated, and where the house began to feel different, warmer, and full of hope.

Estoy de vuelta para participar en la edición #266 del concurso al que nos invitan, semanalmente, las Damas de Hive. En esta ocasión, daré respuesta a una de las preguntas que nos ha propuesto la amiga @priyanarc esta semana:
2️⃣ Si tu familia celebraba alguna festividad cuando eras niño, ¿conservas algún adorno, decoración o objeto ritual que usaran en tu infancia? De ser así, ¿cuál es y qué significado tiene para ti?
Cuando pienso en las festividades de mi infancia, lo primero que me viene a la mente es la Navidad y el momento especial de armar el pesebre en casa. Ese ritual se convirtió en un símbolo que ha permanecido conmigo.
Para mí, el pesebre es un recuerdo vivo de esos días en los que toda la familia se reunía alrededor de la mesa a abrir cajas, desempolvar montañitas, acomodar casitas y buscarle “el lugar perfecto” a cada figura. Era un momento que nos unía sin esfuerzo, donde todos colaborábamos, y donde la casa comenzaba a sentirse diferente, más cálida y llena de esperanza.
Keeping this tradition alive connects me to that little girl who eagerly awaited December's arrival. Today, I feel the same enthusiasm I felt back then, and it reminds me of the importance of creating simple but meaningful moments, of sharing with family, and of keeping alive the traditions that define us.
Today, when I set up the little nativity scene I brought with me in my suitcase, I am grateful to those who taught me to enjoy this time of year from the heart. That little nativity scene continues to be a bridge between who I was, who I am, and what I want to pass on to those who are with me now.
Conservar esta tradición me conecta con esa niña que esperaba con ilusión que diciembre llegara. Hoy, siento el mismo entusiasmo de entonces y me recuerda la importancia de crear momentos sencillos pero significativos, de compartir en familia y de mantener vivas las tradiciones que nos identifican.
Hoy, cuando armo el pequeño pesebre que me traje en la maleta, agradezco a quienes me enseñaron a disfrutar estas fechas desde el corazón. Ese pequeño nacimiento sigue siendo un puente entre lo que fui, lo que soy y lo que quiero transmitir a quienes me acompañan ahora.
