¡Hola! chicas, ¿Cómo están? ¿Que tal pasaron el 14 de febrero? Yo la pasé muy bien, recibí postres de regalo, hice una comida especial y después vimos películas. Bastante sencillo pero muy especial.

Me animé en participar en esta edición y por primera vez en responder las dos preguntas que dejaron esta semana, porque en esta oportunidad tengo para hablar de las dos.

En Ladies of Hive Community Contest #70, para esta semana quieren saber:
1️⃣ Nuestros cuerpos requieren nutrición para prosperar y disfrutamos el sabor de la comida. Teniendo eso en cuenta, si tuviera que elegir un solo alimento para comer por el resto de su vida, ¿cuál sería ese alimento y por qué?

Sin pensarlo dos veces elijo a el plátano. Es uno de mis alimentos favoritos, que sin ningún problema lo podría comer a diario como sea.

✅ El plátano se puede comer verde, con el haces tostones y se puede acompañar con queso, ensaladas rayadas, carne, con vegetales y hasta puedes incluirlo en una sopa así verde (cocinado por supuesto)

✅ El plátano cuando está amarillo o ya negro es delicioso por su dulzura que puede hacerse frito, sancochado, como base de pasticho o hasta mezclarlo con un poco de harina de maíz y haces arepas.

✅ El plátano es rico en azúcares, pero de la buena, lo que lo hace una fuente de energía rápida. En pocas palabras es ideal para recuperar nutrientes después de un esfuerzo físico.

✅ Es bajo en proteínas, tiene pocas grasas y no tiene colesterol. Por sí solo no te va a engordar, lo que va aumentar las calorías es con lo que lo acompañamos y cómo lo cocinamos.

✅ Contiene potasio, magnesio, vitamina C, E, ácido fólico y fibra de 3% por lo que ayuda a regular la hipertensión arterial, es una fuente de energía rápida, combate el estreñimiento, calma la acidez de estómago, combate la artritis y evita la retención de líquidos.

Quedé muy sorprendida 🙉 todo el bien que hace este alimento a nuestro organismo, sin dudas lo seguiré comiendo de por vida.

2️⃣ ¡Todos tenemos quehaceres o tareas que aborrecemos hacer! Si usted es como la mayoría de la gente, postergará ese temido trabajo tanto como sea posible. ¿Cuál es la tarea más temida que debes hacer? Resume tu reacción a esa tarea con una selfie que exprese tu temor.

Desde que acepté mudarme con mi pareja sabía que esta era una tarea que tenía que hacer por siempre y es limpiar. Es una tarea que no me gusta hacer para nada y la que más demanda tiene es la cocina, hay que fregar, limpiar todas las superficies, limpiar el fregadero a cada rato, la cocina después hacer una comida, guardar todo en su lugar y tratar de mantenerlo ordenado todo.

Mi pareja y yo nos compartimos las tareas del hogar pero la cocina es la que más trabajo lleva en todos los sentidos. Ahora ya entiendo porque mi abuela decía: “Hoy es domingo y no se cocina” o cuando mi mamá terminaba de cocinar y uno se antojaba de algo más y su respuesta era: “Sí de verdad lo quieres, te lo puedes hacer tú”

Hi girls, how are you? How was your February 14th? I had a great time, I got desserts as gifts, I made a special meal and then we watched movies. Pretty simple but very special.

I was encouraged to participate in this edition and for the first time to answer the two questions left this week, because this time I have to talk about both of them.

1️⃣ Our bodies require nutrition to thrive and we enjoy the taste of food. With that in mind, if you had to choose only one food to eat for the rest of your life, what would that food be and why?

Without a second thought I would choose the banana. It is one of my favorite foods, and I could eat it every day no matter what.

✅ The plantain can be eaten green, you can make tostones with it and it can be served with cheese, shredded salads, meat, vegetables and you can even include it in a green soup (cooked of course).

✅ The plantain when it is yellow or already black is delicious for its sweetness that can be fried, parboiled, as a base for pasticho or even mix it with a little corn flour and make arepas.

Ever since I agreed to move in with my partner I knew this was a chore I had to do forever and it's cleaning. It is a chore that I don't like to do at all and the one that is most in demand is the kitchen, you have to scrub, wipe all the surfaces, clean the sink every now and then, the kitchen after making a meal, put everything away in its place and try to keep everything tidy.

My partner and I share the household chores but the kitchen is the one that takes the most work in every way. Now I understand why my grandmother used to say: "Today is Sunday and there is no cooking" or when my mom finished cooking and you were craving for something else and her answer was: "If you really want it, you can make it yourself".

I agree that Plantains are a super food with many health benefits. For some reason my kid's shy away from plantains but wolf down bananas when my back is turned. And like bananas, plantains do not grow in my northern climate so they are imported.

Yes, Plantains are delicious and super nutritious, it's strange that they don't like but banana because the flavors are similar, maybe the taste changes because they are imported.
