If you could pick a favorite "happy place," where would that be?
I thought about this a little bit, and I concluded with that everywhere that I feel safe and comfortable must be my favorite place.
I live in the city, and there is always background noice anywhere I go and are. We have a balcony, but it isn't that easy to sit there because there is always sounds from the car rushing by on the road. That does not make me happy. If I could sit on the balcony, on a warm sunny day, with completely silence, maybe with only birds chirps I would be really happy and that would be my happy place. I remember when corona just hit, and it was lockdown, I could sit there (even tho it was cold) without any cars rushing by. There was positive sides of lockdown too.
My happy place doesn't need to be on vacation or somewhere pretty that fits perfect in the instagram world. Because I haven't really experienced that I could read a book, or enjoy my own music by the beach with no one else there, without any distractions. I really enjoy the silence too, and I would love to enjoy sitting on the beach, with only the noice of the ocean with my friends or/and boyfriend.
My friends, family and my boyfriend are really important to me, and I always feel great with them by my side. I love spend time with them. I have to conclude that my happy place is somewhere with them, with no background noice (if it's not the noice of the ocean or bird chirps). If I'm alone I would love completely silence, or listening to music from the 90s or the early 20s. And to make it all complete: a nice dinner with a perfect wine that fits with it.
These two last pictures are from a hike in Norway, Aalesund last summer. Me and @pusen loved this place so much because we couldn't spot one person on the whole hike, and all we could hear was bird chirping and water running. The cabin we stayed at was also really nice!
