This is the question, to get directly into the topic

What life lesson did you learn the hard way? How did it alter your perception or attitude?

Life is a learning university where every day it teaches us something new, we must learn the lesson and do the homework since otherwise the subject will be postponed, whether you want it or not.

Two years ago a virus came to us, something that cannot be seen, cannot be felt, cannot be touched, but which entered our lives and changed them completely.

Many did not believe in him and they had to feel how hard and strong he is, that he is real and that he took away many of our loved ones and acquaintances in no time.

The first time he got close enough to me was with a man I had known for many years, he moved the floor. The man was not that old, so I never thought that he could lose the battle against a virus. After he said publicly that he was positive for Covid 19, he died within 2 weeks. I said to myself: maybe it was because of his age!

Then it was closer. The cousin of my ex-husband, who grew up with him since he was children, was hospitalized seriously with the virus, he only said: I get out of this!

1 month later they disconnected him so that he would finish dying in peace due to the complications he had.

Was it careless on your part? Was it arrogance? Was it that he did not believe in the deadliness of the virus? Or was it just his day?

Whatever the death of so many people is attributed to is one thing for sure, we learned in the most brutal, direct and painful way that death is there, just around the corner. That we are vulnerable even though we think we are very strong. That we are not prepared to stop a tragedy that came out of nowhere, neither we nor the governments.

That we can learn the easy way, but also the hard way. That we must begin to love each other and to love everyone. I used to worry about day to day and my question now is what if I die tomorrow? I won't have to worry about anything anymore, but things will still happen.

I was affraid ? Yes, and a lot. For me and my family, my grandchildren who are small.

Unfortunately there are many people who have not learned their lesson, they refuse to apply the vaccine. I was one, who believed all those rumors that they brought out that the vaccine was a chip that they placed on you. That this was to finish killing those who were not given the Covid or those who were left alive. So many things they said that I believed them.

I sat down and asked myself: What is special about me that they want to put a chip on me? Governments do and undo with or without consultation and here we are, and here we continue. I have nothing that they want from me, and if it is to die, I am one of those who believes in God and that I will die only when my God so decides.

The day my appointment came to be vaccinated, I went without fear and with the assurance that just as when we were born we were vaccinated, so this vaccination will be effective. There are other things that kill more than a vaccine, such as eating junk food, drinking carbonated drinks, living an unbalanced life, and stress.

Governments acted fast to create the vaccine, let's not despise it like that. Let's take this opportunity to continue living and give thanks for it. Let's learn in the best way so that we don't keep learning the hard way.

https://hive.blog/hive-124452/@ladiesofhive/ladies-of-hive-community-contest-43

Change has been sudden, making a concerted decision to move forward after experiencing loss of life in loved ones does make one stop and think about life every day.

Thanks for this week's topic, my friend @joansteward, it's a great topic. For me the difficult thing was to see people so close, healthy and in a week having to bury them without being able to see them. Thank you for coment in my blog.

Domino effect has been vicious to most, sadly many buried without a proper farewell. Stay strong and keep a positive mind, those of us still here need to be strong to help others.

That's right friend, that's one of the lessons learned in the worst way.

Thank you team.

Thanks for sharing @isabelpena.
Good luck with the contest.
Friends can help you define your priorities. People tend to pick friends who are similar to them. Because we fall prey so easily into this similarity trap, it is important to try to stretch yourself to learn from some of those opposites. There is some truth to the saying that “Birds of the same feathers, flock together.” Knowing this can help you grow by expanding your range of friends and trying out some new points of view.
Ladies of Hive can be the place where you can grow.

Thanks for your words @silversaver888, @ladiesofhive is a great community and where I have felt your support. Thank you for helping me grow.

We love having you!

Bendiciones 🙌🤗🌷

The sad thing as you say is the unconsciousness of many people who do not take the measures or are aware of the seriousness of the matter, here at home we presented symptoms and we did not go out for 21 days, just to perform tests, which seemed absurd, since He must be, It would be not to expose other people and that they come to assist you at home to avoid proliferation, but no, a doctor came two days a week to know our status, and after that we have heard of many deaths of acquaintances, the most recent was the of the wife of a cousin of my partner. Let's hope this situation improves and God takes control of our lives. Blessings 🙌🤗🌷

That's right, my friend @cochanet, it's a difficult situation for everyone, even for doctors. If they assist people at home, they would leave the hospital alone, without employees due to so many cases, although it already seems that they have calmed down a bit, but you have to continue taking care of yourself. I heard of a man who took the test and it came out negative and two weeks later he became so complicated from Covid that he died. Even the tests have failed. I hope that with vaccines the panorama will change soon.
