Just been at my parents winter house to get a dishwasher from there which will be installed in my apartment and also to check after a potential buyer of the house stayed over to see if they'd like the house. It's really calming and nice there with beautiful nature :)

隣の地区で、雪のせいで倒木した木が送電線切断してしまい、停電がすぐ裏の家やら周り近所で続いてたのを知らずにほぼ普通に過ごしていて、運が良かったなぁと思ってます。
いやぁ、ホンマに雪はスキー場だけでいいですよね。
こちらは3月にもう一度来るかなぁな感じですがその前に折れまくりの対処が出来て良かったです。

最近当てにしている家電が故障するなぁと思っていたら、毎日のように使いまくっていた電子オーブンレンジが壊れました。
まぁ20年近く使ったんだから寿命ですよねぇ。
しかし。
アレコレ電気製品調子悪かったから、もしかするといい物が当たるかもっ？！
それはさておき、今夜からの料理に困るので、奥美濃から濃尾平野まで降りてホームセンターや家電量販店を巡って電子レンジを購入しました。
フラットの単機能が欲しかったのでHaierに決めました。
早速さつまいものレモン煮をチンしました。

I always wanted to try surfing in one way or another but we don't have the weather for it kite surfing sure but there's no place where you can rent one to try so oh well!
I probably won't be kite surfing any time soon but I used to body surf in the ocean. There is always river surfing too but I haven't tried that either. :)

There is so much here to love ... a turquoise sea spangled with silver under aqua-blue skies airbrushed with white, and mountains in dark green to bluish sitting between, and then that one dark green plant and the sail's tiny splash of yellow and red... so much here!
The Gorge is always full of sights and scenes to behold!

Reflections on the water are always beautiful sight to see. While visiting Stolac, city in Bosnia and Herzegovina I took some reflection photos on river Bregava. Extra detail is cat that was there.

The use of natural materials like nipa or palm leaves, bamboo and wood are not only sustainable and readily available but also helps regulate the temperature inside the house. The design of the house is suited for the dry and rainy season in my country.
Yes you are right. Building houses on slopes and stilts reduces the risk of water accumulation around the house, especially in areas with heavy rainfall.
Does it help with temperature control? -The hot temperature in our country during summer significantly influence the design of the house. The space beneath the house allows for better airflow, keeping the interior cooler and more comfortable.
This also provides protection from stray animals, particularly at night. Is that also a flood risk zone? - Flood is a common occurrence in many parts of the country and it always rain in most places.

I just finished this book: the witch of Limbrigt; a novell based on facts.
It tells the story of a women that is being prosecuted for being a witch in the middle ages just because she was different.
A very interesting story. You can visit the castle and dungeon she was held.
Sounds interesting. For some reason it reminds me of the story of Jeanne de Clisson. I wrote a haiku about her a long time ago. History holds some truly amazing stories.
I don't know that story, but you are right about history!
I linked the Wiki article about it. Basically, the King of France executed her husband because they suspected him of treason. She sells everything and buys a fleet of ships which she uses to attack French ships. Kills all but one of the crew and sends them back to the king.

It's apparently known issue and their website only list 11GB for their patch 7 but in reality it's frickin 116gb
