I passed one of those on my morning run. Not a tree anyone would want to climb.
I was surprised it has adapted so well to our climate, which includes the odd snowstorm in winter. Those limbs do look kind of spiky.
They seem to do okay in the UK. My gran had a huge one in her front garden.
Love to see how wild the Nature can be.

That's a gamble, unfortunately. Last time, they said it'd arrive the next day - it took them 2. Meno said the bread was fine, and they enjoyed it a lot - he even wrote a post about it. We also have a 100% Rye bread, which shouldn't be affected at all if it takes longer
