It's just to test how uploading short videos via #Snaps works. Now that I have a new cell phone, I plan to try recording videos, even though I don't really like it.
What do you think, should I make more videos? 🤔

It can fail momentarily to be encoded by the encoder nodes. But it will be retried eventually. This experience will be improved over time.

Mmm... I just saw that it's working fine. At first, it only showed the FAILED message. Will I have to wait about half an hour for the video to play properly? 🤔

No, but there is no guarantees as it depends on which encoder the video falls under and what specific problem it happened. Keep monitoring the experience and let the community know please. It helps.

The system is self healing... if the encoding for any reason fails, it's picked up by another encoder and completed. This is a rare instance. Normally it works within a minute.

Containers work slightly different because what people upvoting is contributing against is what the owner of the container wishes to reward. For snaps/peakd, its @peakd.snaps, that upvote engagement and continuous conversations (they might have a post where this is explained)
Another difference is that the container here has 99% rewards going into what gets upvoted, and 1% for the owner of the container (sort as a fee for the service/feature/development/maintenance).
The part that is a nice to have, is that by supporting the container, you don't have to pick whom to reward. Instead, you are trusting the owner of the container to reward the right things. Not sure if they have some sort of automation too... but there is likely room for it.
So, in a way is like a curation initiative. Snapie has their own accounts rewarding comments that are made via their app (because you can tell what app commented on a container). And there are others... like me, you or any others, curating manually.
Yup, as long as doesn't get exploited, it's a good idea imo.
