I was babysitting and the dad was taking me home. I think I said it 20 times in a matter of a few minutes. He stopped me and told me how many times he had counted. I was kind of embarrassed but he taught me something that day. I paid attention after that.

Recovery taught me that the deepest wound wasn’t abandonment, it was betrayal.
The healing began when I stopped asking why they did it and started asking how I could come home to myself.
I’m glad I spoke about it loudly, unapologetically and without shame and I got the most lovely people who heard me and helped me through this on here.

I am sitting on my bed, home alone.
I have a simple plan... Create a story.
Whether I use a photo, a video or just words.
I just need to create a story that's mine.
I am still working on it, home alone.
Why we women carry so much weight of being responsible for everyone around us. Why we never put ourselves first, be it in love or family, we go far and beyond. Why bring yourself on verge of autoimmune disease. Carrying so much grief, so much unreciprocated love. Dreams and hopes, only to suffer by accepting " being appreciated " was too much. Being protected was too much , being "loved" was too much to ask for. From people who cannot do anything for themselves without us.

walking squat exercise until your body tells you it can't move any further
there is still a long way to go to get to the image above, but work continues on it by adding weights to the exercise
My oldest son does this across the yard with weights. He works out pretty much daily. Me, I like my hammock. Getting in and out of it is my workout🤣
I do this exercise inside the house, I walk about 16 meters in a squat mode with the weights, I return along the same standard route without bending over, and I repeat the cycle several times
That's a great workout for the legs.
