Readily Corrupted

Who would have thought that the most pathetic outcome of the World Cup would be Donald Trump?

well, maybe it was predictable, since he is generally the most pathetic thing no matter what he gets involved with. And this time, once again, he has made the US look pathetic too. In what kind of world does a president call to have a football red card overturned/reviewed? And then say it "wasn't a foul" and then also complain about the system of missing a game due to a red card.

Corrupt as fuck.

And this is why the US is such a dangerous country, because it normalises bad behaviour and influences others to follow suit. Anything to get an advantage, anything to make a little more profit, anything to take a little more control.

It is a race to the bottom.

The US is a global leader and as such sets the example for others to follow. But where it is leading us all is down into an abyss of self-absorption, greed, corruption, violence and the breakdown of society. And the average American will keep defending the system, because they have been conditioned that it is the best system in the world, despite all the poverty, homelessness, crime, drug abuse and loneliness.

And the rest of the world follows along.

Not because individuals want to, but because individuals are beholden to systems that look to replicate the profit at any cost model, so that a few people in each country can become obscenely wealthy. And perhaps "obscene" is a good word for that level of wealth, since it means offensive and it is very likely that it could be interpreted as a type of violence. And it is not necessarily that the wealthy person did anything wrong, rather that the system is built to do as it does, increasingly take from the many in order to enrich the few. The system isn't built to improve society or humanity - it is built to monopolise and concentrate resources.

It is built to harm, not improve.

And, because of the way it functions, it will continually put those in power who will work in service to the process. It can't help it, because that is the coded pattern and that is the way it has to play out. So, people like Trump will be business leaders and in positions of power, and they in turn will influence the next round of operators. It will get worse and worse, because like puts like in power, and each iteration is greedier, more power-hungry, more self-absorbed than the last.

And it will all collapse eventually.

And it will start again, as it has done over and over, because we will not change the system. We will not do what it takes to make a system that supports humanity to grow and thrive, because we are influenced to believe that what we are doing now, no matter how obvious it is that it is a flawed and failing system, is the only way it can be.

Trump is not the problem with the system, he is a symptom of it. He is just one of the many individuals in positions of power that keep it going, keep on milking it, at our expense. And because of the way economics works, it is just going to speed up and get increasingly inequal between people, as the system runs its monopolisation plays to create widening gaps.

Yes, there are corrupt people.

The system rewards them for being so.

I don't understand why you hate Americans so much... 😀

He doesn't, he just hate you :)

He just hates Trump.., I'm not a big fan either.

This is what happens when a criminal is put in charge of the most powerful nation in the world. His supporters see nothing wrong with what he has done so far, I don't think even doubling of gas prices due to the Iran debacle has put a dent in his support...

And to top it off, we played like shit and got our asses handed to us. So it ended up being a non-issue as far as the game was concerned. Trump turns everything he touches to shit. You knew eventually he would involve himself into the World Cup. As far as throwing a blanket over the USA, I think you can point fingers to most first world nations.

And the average American will keep defending the system, because they have been conditioned that it is the best system in the world, despite all the poverty, homelessness, crime, drug abuse and loneliness.

They are so high on "American Dream" that even the nightmares get marketed as some sort of blessing.

Moreover, for this system, there is nothing better than teaching people that every alternative is far worse than this.

Mr. Trump is a grown up man, and Idk, he is blind or what. Literally, I have seen everyone - except Americans- hate him, his government, his policies etc. How the hell is he in power :)
I don't even see a charm in him, to be a President. Thanks to him, we will be seeing politicization of sports more often now.

And the average American will keep defending the system, because they have been conditioned that it is the best system in the world, despite all the poverty, homelessness, crime, drug abuse and loneliness.

I saw a video called dumbest things americans say(?). One person claimed ENTIRE world wants America to win football cup. Why? Because america winning at anything gives the world hope and proves that anything is possible...

I also keep seeing/ hearing americans who claim that america is the best country/ place on earth. I can't understand that. I think that Lithuania is not a bad country. We don't have major calamities. Nature is quite nice. And my favorite basketball team sometimes plays well...Still I would not claim that Lithuania is the best. Because it is the only country I ever been in. But despite never setting a foot in America I consider it one of the worst countries(along with russia and maybe Korea). Sure part of that image is just because of trump. He is probably not the best example of what America has to offer. But even without trump I would not want to live in place where I would earn a lot but have to pay even more. I rather get less money but get to keep bigger part of it... I heard about poverty, homelessness, crime, drug abuse in America. I also heard that their food is way worse. That some of their houses are basiclly made out of cardboard?(and I assume that those houses still cost more than I would be willing to pay). Also living in such a big population would be a nightmare to me. I can only imagine that among so many people news that some scum killed or tortured some poor animal would be only more frequent. So I would hate living in America. If I did live there and got deported my neighbours would likely think that I won a lottery because for me it would awesome news...😛

this is not just about america
most governments are learning to view humans only as slaves

I think corruption is not unique to one country or one ideology. Wherever power lacks accountability, the temptation to abuse it grows.

The football system can never be changed because of trump. He should accept defeat and move on. In terms of corruption, i think it's a general disease.

I believe no system is perfect, and people in power should be responsible for what they do. At the same time, I don't think one person is the cause of every problem. Real change needs both good leaders and people who choose to do what is right.

Did you know.. those Belgian goals should have been disallowed..,all 4 of them.

I am embarrassed to be an Ameerican at times, but we may yet redeem ourselves, at least that is what I pray about.

We are aligned with people whose behavior we should abhor, we have elected perhaps the most corrupt individual our political system has ever seen and he does much of it in the public eye to normalise it by saturation.

It is sad to think this the example our young men see of success at any price and without any concience. (mis-spelled sorry)

I am incentivised however to write my next post called Dragon Sickness, and the lack of Knights (dragon slayers) we now suffer from.

We must find the courage to be knights or our people are doomed to be devoured as in all wealth extracted from society and the majority turned to paupers, by these obscenely rich people with Dragon Sickness.
