Sucede a los escritores, lectores, historiadores, investigadores, etc. que cuando hurgamos libros, bibliotecas, web, y hasta en la memoria misma de nuestros abuelos y antepasados acerca de sucesos vividos en la historia de la humanidad, automáticamente ponemos en acción nuestro imaginario.

Me llamó la atención este concurso debido a su título: "Inventos que hicieron historia" Si retrocedemos en el tiempo, podríamos estar escribiendo hasta final de nuestra propia existencia. Desde la invención de una aguja fabricada en hueso por el hombre primitivo, hasta el presente siglo, no creo que pudiésemos darnos abasto. El ser humano es inventor por naturaleza, a pesar de que él mismo, fue la primigenia creación en el Universo.
This contest caught my attention because of its title: "Inventions that made history" If we go back in time, we could be writing until the end of our own existence. From the invention of a needle made of bone by primitive man to the present century, I don't think we would be able to keep up with it. The human being is an inventor by nature, even though he himself was the first creation in the Universe.

He decidido hablar sobre la historia de la máquina de coser, y mientras buscaba alguna opción interesante para hacer mi post, recordaba que en mi época cuando eramos niños, las madres cosían ropa para las fábricas ya que en ese tiempo era un oficio para las amas de casa. Lo hacían desde sus hogares y eran remuneradas de acuerdo a la producción individual.
I have decided to talk about the history of the sewing machine, and while I was looking for some interesting option to make my post, I remembered that in my time when we were children, mothers sewed clothes for factories because at that time it was a trade for housewives. They did it from their homes and were paid according to individual production.

Cuando hablamos de quien inventó la primera máquina para coser, podríamos decir que fue un señor llamado Elias Howe, quien en el año en 1846, patentó el invento, pero como la historia nunca olvida y hasta tiene memoria a traves de quienes la estudian, se dice que en el año de 1830, un sastre francés Barthélemy Thimonnier, ideó y patentó un prototipo que facilitaría su trabajo. Él era esposo de una bordadora experta. Construyó una máquina de punto de cadeneta hecha en madera casi en su totalidad. Eso quiere decir, que aún con los avances, las mejores máquinas modernas conservan ese punto de cadeneta.

No fue sino en el año 1830, cuando el sastre Barthelemy Thimonnier, inventó la máquina de coser funcional. Esto le trajo muchísimos problemas porque cuando se comenzó a regar la noticia del invento y los demás sastres 200 aproximadamente, se dieron por enterados, formaron una gran protesta, saquearon su taller sin que le deran oportunidad de explicarles los beneficios de la misma. Además destruyeron las 80 cosedoras que tenía.
It was not until 1830, when the tailor Barthelemy Thimonnier, invented the functional sewing machine. This brought him a lot of problems because when the news of the invention began to spread and the other 200 or so tailors took notice, they formed a big protest, ransacked his workshop without giving him the opportunity to explain the benefits of it. What happened was so serious that since then nothing was known of the inventor's whereabouts, it was even said that he had been mysteriously murdered, but then news began to appear that he died in poverty and that he wrote a farewell letter to his son before his death.

"What is proven", is that he filed new patents in 1832, 1841, 1845 and 1847 and that he obtained a first class medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1855. So finally it was Thimonnier who was the real inventor of the sewing machine. Machine that until today, has made our life more bearable for all that it implies.

Querida @numa26 antes que nada te agradezco por unirte a este concurso donde la historia no para de escribirse.
La máquina para coser un invento que fue muy significativo para la necesidad de vestirse del hombre, una máquina que ayudó a reducir costo de producción de vestiduras, muy bien dicho al decir que la historia nunca olvida, pues este invento junto a sus creadores jamás se van a olvidar, la primera aguja fue hecha de hueso eso es muy cierto y mira a donde hemos llegado, todo tiene su evolución y su historia detrás de ella, gracias por esta maravillosa publicación.
La historia es más que hechos y recuerdos, la historia refleja el trabajo duro y sentimientos.
