Hello nature lovers, today is earth day so I thought I'd share with you some photos and information about one of my favorite animals, geckos. The photos that I share belong to two different geckos, the first one I found among the plants on my balcony and the second one on the terrace of the building I live.
Los geckos son lagartos de la familia de los Gekkota, y por lo tanto, también son reptiles y aunque son muy comunes en las casas de mi país, no son mascotas sino habitantes libres de ellas jejeje, andan libremente cazando zancudos y otros insectos, son nocturnos y discretos, pero de vez en cuando se dejan ver.
The geckos are lizards of the Gekkota family, and therefore, they are also reptiles and although they are very common in the houses of my country, they are not pets but free inhabitants of them hehehe, they walk freely hunting mosquitoes and other insects, they are nocturnal and discreet, but from time to time they can be seen.
Los geckos viven en países cálidos y tropicales porque es donde abunda su comida favorita, los zancudos / Geckos live in warm, tropical countries because that is where their favorite food, mosquitoes, abounds
Siempre he pensado que se parecen a los cocodrilos cuando son bebés aunque obviamente tienen sus diferencias, empezando por el tamaño jajaja, pero son tan lindos, graciosos y tiernos como ellos. Mis encuentros con los geckos son infinitos y muy frecuentes así que creo que tengo una conexión especial con estos animales, me los he encontrado en diferentes situaciones, lugares y horas del día, e incluso he salvado a varios de las fauces y garras de mis gatos. Hace poco uno se acercó a mí y se me subió a la pierna jajaja 🤭🤷🏻♀️, creo que esto es un amor correspondido 😻.
I've always thought that they look like baby crocodiles, although they obviously have their differences, starting with their size hahaha, but they're just as cute, funny and cuddly as them. My encounters with geckos are infinite and very frequent, so I think I have a special connection with these animals, I have met them in different situations, places and times of the day, and I have even saved several from the jaws and claws of my cats. Recently one approached me and climbed up my leg hahaha 🤭🤷🏻♀️, I think this is reciprocated love 😻.

Los geckos son muy delicados pero yo sé como agarrarlos, una vez que los tengo en la planta de mis manos se quedan tranquilos y se dejan fotografiar, yo hasta les acaricio la cabeza y he notado que les encanta jejeje.
The geckos are very delicate but I know how to hold them, once I have them in the soles of my hands they remain calm and allow themselves to be photographed, I even caress their heads and I have noticed that they love it hehehe.
A veces las maravillas de la naturaleza están tan cerca de nosotros que no les prestamos la suficiente atención. Los geckos me encantan, tanto que ya les he dedicado dos publicaciones jejeje, les dejo los enlaces abajo para los que deseen conocerlos un poco más y descubrir lo fascinantes que son.

Muy bonitos estos inquietos animalitos, yo les llamo tuteques y me llegan al apartamento, emiten un sonido característico. Son muy útiles porque nos ayudan a eliminar las plagas
Sí, son bellos y muy simpáticos jejeje, les encanta comer zancudos, cucarachas y el sonido que emiten es muy particular, los que no los conocen creen que es un grillo o algún otro insecto cuando los escuchan. Saludos y gracias por leerme 😺🤘🤗
