¡Saludos amantes y aficionados de la costura! 😁😁
Cómo ya saben o más bien, les he comentado en otras ocasiones, soy una aficionada más no una profesional de la costura. Me encanta poder hacer mis propias prendas de vestir, por lo que me puedo atrever a hacerlas y la verdad, he quedado muy contenta, sobretodo porque satisfacen mis necesidades y gustos personales.
En esta ocasión, me ví súper urgida de hacerme un suéter, últimamente el clima está muy frío y yo no tolero mucho el frío. 🥶 🧣🧥 Por casualidad me conseguí una tela económica que casualmente me resultó muy apropiada para lo que necesitaba hacer, así aproveché y la compré para hacer mi abrigo. 😁
Para hacer este suéter utilice una tela de mono que resultó muy generosa de anchura y además me fueron muy útiles unos botones que le quite a una chaqueta vieja de mi esposo. 🤭

As you already know, or rather, she told you on other occasions, I am an amateur, not a professional, of sewing. I love being able to make my own clothes, so I can dare to do them and the truth is, I have been very happy, especially because they satisfy my personal needs and tastes.
On this occasion, I felt in great urgency to make a sweater, lately the weather has been very cold and I don't tolerate cold much. 🧣🧥 By chance I got a cheap fabric that happened to be very appropriate for what I needed to do, so I took advantage and bought it to make my coat. 😁
To make this sweater, I used a monkey fabric that was very generous in width and also some buttons were very useful that I used an old jacket of my husband. 🤭
Proceso de elaboración
Para marcar el patrón en la tela utilice como referencia un suéter y además me tomé unas medidas, cómo el largo de la manga y ancho del busto para que me quedara lo más exacta posible. Luego corte y presente las piezas. La párate delante la corte en dos, pues este es un suéter abierto tipo chaqueta, dejándole más espacio en una de las dos mitades delanteras para los ojales.
Luego cosi todas las piezas con la máquina.
Elaboration process
To mark the pattern on the fabric, I used a sweater as a reference and I also took some measurements, such as the length of the sleeve and the width of the bust so that it would fit me as exactly as possible. Then cut and present the pieces. Stand in front of the cut in two, as this is an open sweater jacket, leaving more room on one of the two front halves for buttonholes.
Then I sew all the pieces with the machine.
Los borde de las mangas los hice sencillo, solo doble los bordes hacia adentro y sujete con alfileres para luego coser con la máquina.
The edges of the sleeves I made simple, just fold the edges in and pin and then sew with the machine.
Los bolsillos los coloque visibles sobre las dos tapas delantera, antes cosi los bordes de los bolsillos hacia adentro.
I placed the pockets visible on the two front flaps, before I sewed the edges of the pockets inwards.
Para realizar el cuello corté tres piezas
- La pieza que va en la espalda la corte con la misma caída. Las otras dos piezas delanteras también con la misma caída.
2,3. Uni las piezas con costura de máquina. Luego por todo el borde pase una costura de zigzag para que posteriormente no se deshilache.
4,5,6. Presente la costura y la dije con alfileres, luego que ya tuve segura las piezas pase la costura a máquina. Para que quede más prolijo y dijo, hice una costura exterior como ven en la última imagen, de todas maneras hice unas puntadas a mano invisibles por dentro.
To make the neck I cut three pieces
- The piece that goes on the back is cut with the same fall. The other two front pieces also with the same fall.
2,3. I sewed the pieces together with a machine stitch. Then along the entire edge pass a zigzag seam so that it does not fray later.
4,5,6. Present the seam and I said it with pins, after I already had the pieces safe, I passed the seam on the machine. To make it neater and he said, I made an outer seam as you can see in the last image, in any case I made some invisible hand stitches on the inside.
En el borde inferior de mi suéter le cosi una tira doble por todo el contorno. Cuando la cosí, estire la tela como si fuera una elástica para que quedara más ajustado en el inferior. Pueden ver el proceso en la imágen de abajo.
At the bottom edge of my sweater I sew a double strip all the way around. When I sewed it, I stretched the fabric like elastic to make it fit tighter at the bottom. You can see the process in the image below.
Para finalizar ubiqué los botones y los ojales.
To finish I placed the buttons and buttonholes.

Realmente me gustó mucho el resultado pues, además que es muy suave y me cubre del frío, me parece que quedó elegante. 🧥 También es súper cómodo porque le añadí estos bolsillos delanteros que, sin duda, no pueden faltar en un suéter. 😉
