Happy Needle Monday!
Recientemente quise realizarle un vestido a mi hija, en manera de compensar que nunca le hice uno cuando ella era una niña, puesto que no sabía nada de costura en esos tiempos. Pero, conversando con ella al respecto, me dijo que ciertamente los vestidos eran lindos, pero no suele usarlos para salir de casa y que prefería cosas más comodas como un Pants suelto o alguna pieza holgada. En vista de ello, opté por hacerle una Braga Enterizo Larga, en tela de Lycra fina. Es sin duda una pieza comoda, actual y muy fresca de usar en la zona donde vive, puesto que hace mucho calor en estos días.
Recently I wanted to make a dress for my daughter, as a way to compensate for the fact that I never made one for her when she was a child, since I didn't know anything about sewing at that time. But, talking to her about it, he told me that certainly her dresses were nice, but she doesn't usually wear them out of the house and that she preferred more comfortable things like loose pants or some baggy piece. In view of this, I chose to make her a Long One Piece Panty, in fine Lycra fabric. It is undoubtedly a comfortable, modern and very cool piece to wear in the area where she lives, since it is very hot these days.
Habían unos pensamientos que rondaban mi mente, uno es que nunca antes había realizado este tipo de prenda, y lo segundo era el patrón. Sin un patrón es un poco más complicado porque puedes llegar a sentirte algo desorientada, más sin embargo para ponerle solución a esto, le dije a mi hija que me diera dos piezas de ropa que a ella le gustaran como le quedaran al ponerselas, una es una franela y el otro un mono deportivo. Las piezas que me pasó mi hija, son alicradas, y la tela en que yo pensaba hacer el enterizo también lo es. Por allí, había coincido, porque dado el caso que la tela en que yo pensaba confeccionar el enterizo no fuese igual de alicrada, sino más bien rigida, debía sumar más centimetros y por ende hacerme dudar de la talla y corte de las piezas.
There were some thoughts that were running through my mind, one was that I had never made this type of garment before, and the second was the pattern. Without a pattern it is a little more complicated because you can feel somewhat disoriented, however to solve this, I told my daughter to give me two pieces of clothing that she liked how they looked when she put them on, one is one flannel and the other a sports jumpsuit. The pieces that my daughter gave me are acrylic, and the fabric in which I was thinking of making the onesie is also. There, I had agreed, because given the case that the fabric in which I planned to make the onesie was not equally thin, but rather rigid, it should add more centimeters and therefore make me doubt the size and cut of the pieces.
Para cortar las piezas, coloqué las piezas de ropa que tenía de muestras y los usé como referencia de talla. El mono en su caso era más tipo tubo a medida que iba acercandóse la terminal de la pierna, sin embargo yo preferí colocarle un corte más recto para darle un toque de elegancia y no deportivo. En cuanto a la parte superior, la muestra fue una franela básica, la usé como referencia de lo ancho y alto, pero en la segunda reduciendo un poco porque no habría de ser el mismo largo por lo alto de la pieza del inferior. Le coloqué un corte diferente y unos tirantes un tanto gruesos, la parte de la espalda es un rectángulo que se une a los tirantes de la parte del frente. En manera de darle un estilo más femenino, un par de lazos en el nacimiento frontal de los tirantes.
Y voila!, un lindo enterizo de color vinotinto de puntos blancos.
To cut the pieces, I placed the pieces of clothing I had as samples and used them as a size reference. The jumpsuit in her case was more tube-type as the end of the leg approached, however I preferred to give it a straighter cut to give it a touch of elegance and not sporty. As for the upper part, the sample was a basic flannel, I used it as a reference for the width and height, but in the second one I reduced it a little because it would not have to be the same length along the height of the bottom piece. I gave it a different cut and somewhat thick straps, the back part is a rectangle that joins the straps on the front. In order to give it a more feminine style, a pair of bows at the front of the straps.
And voila!, a cute burgundy onesie with white dots.

Proceso de Creación / Creation Process
Inicialmente cortaremos las piezas, tomando en referencia las medidas de las piezas de ropa. Para la parte superior, corté un frente y el trasero es un rectángulo. Para la parte inferior, he hecho un corte más recto. Adicional he cortado los listones para hacer los tirantes.
Initially we will cut the pieces, taking into reference the measurements of the pieces of clothing. For the top, I cut a front and the back is a rectangle. For the bottom, I made a straighter cut. Additionally, I have cut the slats to make the straps.
Teniendo ya las piezas principales cortadas, vamos a coser. Inicié el proceso de armado con el pantalón, cosemos cada pierna. Después enfrentamos los derechos desde la parte superior de la pierna y cosemos. Damos vuelta y tenemos ya la parte inferior o del pantalón armado.
Having already cut the main pieces, we are going to sew. I started the assembly process with the pants, we sew each leg. Then we face right sides from the top of the leg and sew. We turn around and we now have the lower part of the pants assembled.

Después de haber armado la parte inferior, reservamos para ir armando la parte superior y luego unir. Comencé enfrentando los derechos de las piezas y uniendo con costura por los costados. Ahora continué haciendo el orillo, esta vez lo he hecho usando la misma tela de la pieza en cuestión y no usando listón adicional.
After having assembled the lower part, we reserve to assemble the upper part and then join. I started by facing the right sides of the pieces and sewing them together on the sides. Now I continued making the edge, this time I did it using the same fabric as the piece in question and not using additional ribbon.

Habiendo hecho esto, ya practicamente tendremos la parte superior hecha. Solo nos resta coser un listó lo sufientemente largo, para sacar ambos tirantes. Medir el largo necesario y unir a la pieza de la blusa. En el medio que queda en la espalda, entre tirante y tirante, le colocaremos la elástica, para darle mejor detalle y firmeza. Al haber hecho esto, unimos la parte superior con la inferior, midiendo bien los centros de las piezas y sujetamos con alfileres para así ayudarnos y que la pieza no se nos corra o mueva.

Al haber unido las piezas, nos resta hacer los los lazos decortativos y unirlos en el nacimiento de los lazos. Para los lazos he cortado un par de rectangulos, tomé uno y enfrentando las puntas, le pase costura. Moví dicha costura al centro y luego cosí por los laterales. Ese mismo proceso hice con el otro rectángulo. Aparte, corté un listón que he cosido, volteado y cortado en porciones iguales, las puntas las he colocado hacía adentro cuidando las direcciones y pase costura. Seguidamente con aguja común, uní el rectángulo y el listón por el medio de ambas, con una costura intermitente, después simplemente arruché y cuidé la unión con otro rectángulo de tela al que he llevado laterales al centro. Cosí nuevamente, para después unir estos lazos al sitio naciente de los tirantes.
Having joined the pieces, it remains for us to make the decorative ties and join them at the birth of the ties. For the ties I cut a couple of rectangles, I took one and facing the ends, I sewed it. I moved said seam to the center and then sewed along the sides. I did the same process with the other rectangle. Besides, I cut a ribbon that I have sewn, turned and cut into equal portions, I have placed the ends inwards, taking care of the directions and sewing. Next, with a common needle, I joined the rectangle and the ribbon in the middle of both, with an intermittent seam, then I simply folded and took care of the union with another rectangle of fabric to which I have brought the sides to the center. I sewed again, and then joined these ties to the beginning of the straps.

Mi hija no ha podido recibir su Braga enterizo larga, ella vive algo lejos y no nos hemos podido ver. Posiblemente esta semana pueda viajar a su ciudad, para entregarle su regalo. Le envié las fotos y estaba muy asombrada, me dijo que había quedado muy lindo y moderno. Y que además, había mejorado mucho en la costura, que le encantaba verme feliz y satisfecha con las cosas que hacía. A mi, por mi lado me da gusto y orgullo, mi hija se vestirá con una pieza que yo misma he creado desde cero especialmente pensando en ella.
My daughter has not been able to receive her long onesie panties, she lives somewhat far away and we have not been able to see each other. Possibly this week she can travel to her city, to give him her gift. I sent her the photos and she was very amazed, she told me that she had turned out very nice and modern. And also, she had improved a lot at sewing, and she loved seeing me happy and satisfied with the things she made. For my part, it gives me pleasure and pride that my daughter will dress in a piece that I myself have created from scratch especially thinking about her.
