Cada vez que adquiero hilos nuevos siento una enorme alegría, mas aún si llegan colores nuevos. Una vez los tengo, toca ordenarlos para tenerlos todos a la mano. ¡Acompáñame a ordenarlos!.

Every time I buy new yarn, I feel so happy, especially if there are new colors. Once I have them, it's time to organize them so I have them all at hand. Come and help me organize them!.

Características generales || General characteristics

Estos hilos son 100% algodón (8/4). Su precio promedio es de 8 soles (2.3 USD) la unidad de 100g. Aunque, si compras por mayor hay descuentos. Vienen en paquetes de 6 unidades (600 g) y puedes escoger los colores que quieras. También hay matizados, los cuales me parece que tienen un mayor precio.

Entre colores y reservas || Between colors and reserves

Luego toca sacar el Muestrario y el inventario, donde anotaré la cantidad de hilos disponibles. Esto lo hago según los códigos de los colores.

Mientras voy ordenando los hilos, voy viendo las combinaciones de colores al azar que hay.

Then it's time to take out the sample book and the inventory, where I will note down the amount of yarn available. I do this according to the color codes.

As I sort through the yarns, I see the random color combinations that exist.

Ordenando ando || Ordering the yarns

Al tratarse de hilos, los ordeno por colores, ya sea por gamas o por similitudes. Estos colores estarán en la reserva, por eso hay colores repetidas. Mis colores infaltables son: Color piel canela, azules, verdes, amarillos, rojos, marrón, blanco y negro.

As these are yarns, I organize them by color, based on scale or similarity. These colors will be in the reserve, which is why there are repeated colors. My infallible colors are: tan (skin), blues, greens, yellows, reds, brown, white, and black.

Inventario actualizado || Updated inventory

Mientras ordeno los colores en sus bolsas, vuelvo al inventario para actualizar los datos. También para descartar los colores que ya no usaré. Los que dicen "0" es porque no hay reserva y estan en uso.

While I organize the colors in their plastic bags, I return to the inventory to update the data. I also discard the colors that I will no longer use. Those that say “0” are because there are no reservations and they are in use.

Estos son los colores de hilos que están disponibles para usarlos. Algunos están usados, por eso se notan deformes. Esta vez tengo más opciones de grises porque quiero diseñar a los amigos de Curti, el chuño blanco y los amarillos son para Juanji, la quinua de Junín.

These are the yarn colors that are available for use. Some have been used, which is why they look misshapen. This time I have more gray options because I want to design the friends of Curti, the white chuño, and the yellow ones are for Juanji, the quinoa from Junín.

Hilos de colores ¡Listos! || Mission completed

Desde hacer el pedido hasta ordenar los hilos son de esas actividades donde al ver los colores se me viene a la mente muchos personajes...Luego digo: "Me alcanzará esta vida para diseñar tantos personajes", jaja. Acabo algo cansada, pero es un gran alivio tener hilos de reservas. Ahora sí ¡A continuar con los pendientes!.

From placing the order to sorting the yarns, these are the kinds of activities where seeing the colors brings many characters to mind...Then I say: “This life will be enough for me to design so many characters”, jaja. I'm a little tired, but it's a huge relief to have some spare yarns. Now I can get on with my to-do list!.

Dato curioso: En Perú solo hay una empresa quien elabora este tipo de hilos. Los venderores les compran y ponen sus marcas, por eso hay distintas marcas.
