Moving up from the floor I got stuck into the front of the right hand side door opening. As can be seen from the photos, there was a lot rusted away.
I had hoped to only have to remove the top layer, where the upright meets the sill but after I had cut it away I could tell that the upper part of the sill was rusted through as well, so I cut it away too.
The replacement needed a dimple near the front to clear an inner, much beefier layer. I painted everywhere I could reach with provonite again.
