Burly Bearded Gladiator

Today's splinterlands article will highlight the capabilities of Chimney Wallstop. This is a Gladiator Card from the Gladius deck and can only be used in guild brawls. I'll also be sharing a couple of matches to demonstrate actual use case scenarios for this card.

Stats and Abilities

For just 10 mana, you get a melee monster with 5 attack, 3 armor 8 health and 1 speed. First of his abilities is the reach ability which allows him to deal damage from the second position. Second and most important of his abilities is bloodlust. With this skill you get +1 to all stats everytime it kills an enemy. Certainly this card can go head to head with Legendary monsters.

The ruleset for this match is Armored Up and Explosive Weaponry. Only Fire Splinter can be used in this match so no real choice here and my best option is to use Chimney Wallstop.

Round 1 - Fight fire with Fire

My choice of summoner is Pyre for that plus 1 speed. And because I am building my lineup around Chimney Wallstop, I don't really need an attack boost. In this case more speed benefits me as well as having that pre-emptive attack. My opponent on the other hand chose to go with Malric Inferno, however he only has 3 melee monsters to benefit from this.

Round 2 - Speed Kills

By the end of the first round, I've already eliminated 2 monsters from my opponents 6 cards. While I still have all of my lineup alive. Notice as well how my chimney wallstop now has 6 attack and 3 speed, i gained plus 1 to all stats because of the bloodlust ability. One more thing i would like to highlight is my use of fire beetle. In explosive weaponry matches it is always a great addition to your lineup to have snipe monsters.

Round 3 - Going in for The Kill

While I've lost my cerberus. Chimney will now move into the first position. And at this point - my opponent has no attacks left. I already eliminated his Finneas rage as well as his Pyromaniac in the last round. Chimney killed both in one shot due to the explode ability, gaining plus 2 stats across in just one go. Spark Pixies won't stand a chance even if it can attack from the first position.

The rulesets are stampede and lost legendaries: Chimney Wallstop despite being arguably the best fire splinter card and the number 1 among all gladius cads is only considered as a common card and is not affected by Lost Legendaries Ruleset. This is also a high mana battle which allowed to me to bring out some high mana cost cards.

Round 1 - Bringing out the heavy hitters

In a high mana cost battle, i always trying to bring out my best cards that would also benefit from my summoner. And again in this round i chose Pyre. I want to dish out as much damage as possible in the shortest amount of time that's why i also have 2 cards with blast abilities: Pyromance and Fire Elemental. My opponent also has both cards but went with Malric Inferno has his sumoner.

Round 2 - Snowballing

End of the first round ended in a huge advanage for me. I already eliminated opponents tank as well as his sneak / opportunity card Serpentine Spy. It's 6 cards to 4 and since being at a huge advantage i should be able to snowball and head to an easy win.

Round 3 - The End

While I've lost my tank , at this point my opponent has nothing and I am guaranteed a win. And even if my opponent has the same amount of cards as i do at this stage, my Chimney Wallstop is virtually impossible to stop.
