I'm sure you all are aware of the fun game running on the @hivebuzz, the HiveBuzz World Cup Contest with over 6500 HIVE prize pool.
I've collected 11 badges so far and ranking on 43 currently.
If you're not playing yet, I encourage you to join the game as soon as possible because it's fun and rewarding.
Moving forward, in today's post I'll share a game-winning combination of the earth summoner Obsidian and the two earth monsters Goblin Psychic and Wood Nymph.
This is the combo I use in most cases while playing with earth splinter.
I'll also share the best battle I fought and won using this combo in my team.
So without further ado, let's start.
How To Use This Combo Effectively ?
I mainly use this combo in the blast ruleset in the following manner.
So, using the Obsidian as the summoner, I place the Mycelic Slipspawn in the tank position to soak all the attacks.
Then I place the Venatot Kinjo in the 2nd position to protect the remaining monsters from the blast effect.
In the 3rd position, my preferred monster is either the Regal Peryton or the Centauri Mage. Then, in the 4th position, I place the Mushroom Sheer.
Then I place the two tank healers Goblin Psychic and Wood Nymph in the 5th and the 6th position.
So the strategy here is the tank Mycelic Slipspawn will soak all the attacks with her 'taunt' ability and the Venator Kinjo will protect the subsequent monsters from the blast damage.
And then the two tank healers will continue to heal the tank while all the monsters will attack the enemy team.
This strategy works pretty great with other rulesets too.
The same strategy and team combo can be used in the 'equal opportunity' ruleset. The only change is that you can remove the Venator Kinjo and put any other magic attack monster instead.
The plan here is the same as the above, the tank Mycelic Slipspawn will soak all the attacks with her 'taunt' ability
And then the two tank healers will continue to heal the tank while all the monsters will attack the weakest enemy monster.
Another ruleset where we can use this combo effectively is the 'fog of war', where all the monsters lose sneak and snipe abilities.
Therefore, the opponent monsters have no choice other than attacking the monster in the first position (the exception is the monsters with the 'opportunity' ability).
And it becomes harder for the enemy to kill the monsters that keep healing double times.
Below, I shared a battle where the 'fog of war' ruleset is applied.
So, now, that we learned how to effectively use this combo in various rulesets, it's time to apply those strategies in real-time.
THE BATTLE
RULESET
Mana Cap: 32
Rulesets:
Equalizer: The initial health of all monsters is equal to that of the monster on either team with the highest base health.
Fog of war: Monsters lose sneak and snipe abilities.
Active Splinters: Water, Earth, Life, Death, Dragon.
My Strategy and Team Setup
As the rulesets were the 'fog of war' and 'equalizer', this is the perfect battle to apply the above strategy.
Because of the 'equalizer' ruleset, I barred myself to use Mycelic Slipspawn, and instead, I used some low mana cost (and low to moderate health) cards.
