Esa tarde Julia y Will terminaron con su relación de diez años. La tarde estaba totalmente sombría, soplaba un viento muy helado, Julia sintió que el frío le taladraba los huesos de forma despiadada, ella quedó devastada, todo el peso y el dolor del engaño y la traición, cayó sobre sus hombros, se sentía agotada, sin fuerzas para continuar, el solo pensar que ese hombre al que había amado, al que le había dedicado los mejores años de su vida, le había confesado con total descaro que la había engañado, no una vez, sino que había perdido la cuenta de todas las veces que lo había hecho, eso era más de lo que ella creía que podia soportar.

Sus pensamientos eran tantos que sentía que ya no podía controlarlos, porque uno la llevaba a otro y no paraban, por más que ella quería hacerlo. Salió a la terraza en busca de aire porque sentía que le faltaba el aliento y mirando hacia el cielo azul esperaba recibir algún tipo de consuelo, añoraba contar con el abrazo de alguien que la amara incondicionalmente, que le demostrara que ella era importante. En ese preciso instante, vino a su mente la imagen de su amada madre, que siempre que tenía un problema la llamaba y le abría su corazón y su madre muy conmovida le decía con todo el amor que solo una madre puede sentir: "No te preocupes mi amor, todo va a estar bien, ya verás que así será", pero eso ya no era posible porque ya su madre se había dormido en la muerte.

Se recostó en un sillón que había allí, cerro los ojos, mientras las lágrimas corrían por sus pálidas mejillas, era tanto el sufrimiento que lo sentía en cada una de las fibras de su ser. Por momentos tenía la sensación que ya no estaba en este mundo, sintió un dolor punzante en su estómago que casi pierde el conocimiento, así estuvo por algunas horas hasta que se quedó dormida y soñó que estaba con su madre sentada a la orilla de la playa. Fue un sueño muy hermoso ya que ella estaba recostada en el regazo de su madre y esta la acariciaba con una ternura infinita sus mejillas, mientras el viento jugaba con su hermosa cabellera.
She leaned back in an armchair that was there, closed her eyes, while tears ran down her pale cheeks, it was so much suffering that she felt it in every fiber of her being. At times she had the feeling that she was no longer in this world, she felt a stabbing pain in her stomach that she almost lost consciousness, she was like that for a few hours until she fell asleep and dreamed that she was with her mother sitting on the shore of the beach. Él por su parte, mientras ella buscaba consuelo en sus recuerdos, empezó a meter todas sus pertenencias de forma muy desordenada en una maleta, la cerro con mucha brusquedad y se fue de la casa, dejando a Julia sumida en su profunda tristeza, más que tristeza lo que la invadía era un amargo sentimiento de asco, al punto que tuvo que dirigirse al baño a vomitar, aún no podía dar crédito a todo lo que había sucedido, cómo era posible que una persona se porte de esa manera tan descarada, llevando una doble vida, sin sentir ningún tipo de remordimiento, por lo menos eso era lo que a ella le parecía a simple vista.

Sin embargo Julia no estaba dispuesta a quedarse llorando por él, por eso llamó a su antiguo amigo y jefe, él algunos días atrás la había contactado para hacerle una oferta de trabajo, bastante atrayente, se dispuso a llamarlo y quedaron de reunirse esa misma tarde. Ella después de tomar un baño se vistió de forma sencilla pero elegante para ir a la reunión de trabajo. Una vez reunida con su antiguo jefe y amigo, este le propuso que aceptará su excelente oferta de trabajo y se fuera a otra ciudad y así empezara una nueva vida, donde poco a poco fueran sanando sus heridas.

After taking a bath, she got dressed in a simple but elegant way to go to the work meeting. Ella acepto la oferta de trabajo y aunque si bien es cierto que no resultaba fácil para ella, también era cierto el hecho de que la vida continúa a pesar de todo. Ella no podía controlar lo que había sucedido con su esposo, pero si quería ser responsable de lo que pasará de ahora en adelante con su vida, y por supuesto aunque su dolor seguía intacto, estaba dispuesta a poner todas sus energías en ese nuevo trabajo y poco a poco saldría adelante. Le comunicó al hombre que la había abrumado con todo el peso que su traición y decepción, que en lo que tuviera los papales del divorcio se lo hiciera saber.
She accepted the job offer and although it is true that it was not easy for her, it was also true that life goes on in spite of everything. She could not control what had happened with her husband, but she wanted to be responsible for what would happen from now on with her life, and of course, although her pain was still intact, she was willing to put all her energies into this new job and little by little she would move forward. She told the man who had overwhelmed her with all the weight of her betrayal and disappointment, that as soon as she had the divorce papers she should let him know.
Él estuvo de acuerdo pues si algo le había quedado claro era que Julia jamás volvería a ser su víctima. Eso le dió algo de nostalgia pero igual estaba dispuesto a respetar su decisión, al fin y al cabo era lo mínimo que podía hacer después de haberle causado esa terrible decepción. Allí entendió que tenía que cargar con las consecuencias de sus actos. Lo aprendió de una forma dura porque ella se fue a otra ciudad y era muy posible que nunca más volverían a verse. Al final él al igual que Julia coincidieron en que eso sería lo mejor para los dos.
He agreed, for if anything had become clear to him, it was that Julia would never be his victim again. That gave him some nostalgia but he was still willing to respect her decision, after all it was the least he could do after having caused her that terrible disappointment. There he understood that he had to bear the consequences of his actions. He learned it the hard way because she went to another city and it was very possible that they would never see each other again. In the end he as well as Julia agreed that this would be the best thing for both of them.
Reflexión: Está historia nos deja ver claramente, que jamás debemos creer, ni pensar que cuando actuamos de forma errada nuestras acciones no saldrán a la luz, además siempre debemos estar conscientes que cosecharemos lo que estamos sembrando, por eso es de sabios sembrar amor del genuino, si queremos cosechar paz.
Reflection: This story clearly shows us that we should never believe or think that when we act wrongly our actions will not come to light, we must always be aware that we will reap what we are sowing, so it is wise to sow genuine love, if we want to reap peace.
