Day two of the long awaited Silver Gold Stackers Vegas weekend was exciting for three main reasons:
1. COIN SHOW!
2. @brian.rrr and the Canadians arrived!!
3. Party in @thedamus’s SWEET suite. 😄
First things first
Despite being awake until well past midnight (and falling asleep with quite the lemon drop buzz), I was wide awake by 5am. By 7am I was out the door for the 15 minute walk up to @summertooth’s and @silverd510’s place. Fortunately, we are all oldies who wake up at the crack of dawn.
After breakfast it was time to head to Palace Station Casino for my first coin show! Our personal chauffeur (Summertooth) drove us to the casino. @enginewitty eventually appeared (again out of nowhere), and we finally got to meet @brian.rrr. Being the smart one, Brian had stayed in the casino with the coin show! We all got some sweet loot and even met @pit-bullion (former Steemian and silver pourer from Vegas).
Mid way through the show @fat-elvis landed in Vegas. We picked him up at the airport. Then our group returned to Palace Station for a little more shopping.
After heading back to our respective hotels to freshen up, it was time to meet again for dinner. Summer and Silverd walked down to my hotel (the MGM), then we proceeded to the Excalibur to grab Fat E. We dined on pizza and meatballs at Mandalay Bay before it was finally time for a room party hosted by @thedamus.
Things to know from the party:
- Damus’s lady and kids were there. All three were ass kickers.
- The view was AMAZING*.
- There we’re a lot of “beverages”. 🍻 🥃
- The only food… Doritos and Cheetos 😂
- I brought “silver” and “gold” Vegas themed gift bags for everyone like it was some award show. Included with the Vegas schwag was Tequila Silver Patron and Bacardi Gold Rum.😄
- We apparently played the MOST EPIC game of Yahtzee ever.
- Oh!!! And @thedamus had a special surprise. JUST FOR ME!
Memory Lane
Now here is where I am to take a break from the now to remind you all of some 2018 epic-ness.
In 2018 I was just getting my footing on Steemit. Somewhere along the way I “met” @thedamus online. He took me under his wing and turned me into a stacker. At the time I sent him a little one oz coin to say thanks. He replied with a 1.5 oz coin. I came back at him with a 2oz round. He upped the anti with maybe 2.5 or 3 oz.
Then I shut that sh-t down by delivering a gift SO EPIC to @thedamus that our battle of one ups had to end.
Until Vegas
For weeks Damus had been hinting he had something special lined up in Vegas just for me. Turns out a few others in our group knew about his plan. So when Damus presented me with a GIANT box with the Dixie Silver Miner logo, I saw faces all around me light up with anticipation.
Four years beyond the burger, @thedamus epically one up’d me again!
HOLY HELL DAMUS!!! 🤣😂🤣😂 You took my burger and spanked it in el culo.

After Yahtzee, the taco and MANY beverages, it was time to move the party from Damus’s suite down to the casino floor.

I forgot to take a photo, but at the coin show there was this big silver medallion. Around the size of the palm of your hand. The engraving on top was two people in this passionate embrace. When I saw it I thought oh saffisara would like this one! 😄
