RE: Weekend Weapons Training

Hey Kris, it's ok to be stuck on the original theme, firearms stuff is always welcome. I've always welcomed the other things, just that no one seemed to know for some reason. The rebrand is about that, not pushing out the firearms stuff.

Sort:

I knew it wasn't pushing out, just going to miss the Pew name! I'm still going to tag, just because I like it. I would have liked "Pews and other stuff", "Pews, and other outdoor stuff", but yes, I'm a bit off. lol Glad to see others joining and growing the group.

There's so few firearms people here, just a handful I guess so I leaned the community in a more broad fashion. Time will tell if it works, I can always change it to something different like, guns yee haa or something. Lol.

I wasn't enjoying the YouTube paraphrasing though, all that political bullshit, so changed the rules to eliminate it. I think that was going the community the wrong feel. I'll see how it goes and amend things on the fly.

Yes, very glad you put a stop to the YT copy garbage. Political discussions have a place, but this isn't it. I like the idea and think you're on the right track. I believe it will help draw some of the other fringe outdoor, prepping, camping, homesteading, etc. into a larger group we can all benefit from and enjoy the higher quality posts and shared upvotes from all. Change must happen to evolve and grow! If the first change doesn't work, keep changing until it does!

The person that was doing it git upset, took it as a personal affront, despite it not being about the user, just the content. He muted me and that's ok, people have died so others have freedom of choice.

I agree with your comments on change and I don't fear it.

Thanks for your support, it means a lot as you're one of the very early posters here. I hope it continues.

I think I can guess who it was, and a shame because they also had a history of some other interesting posts. Not sure why they would fall to the garbage posting, and especially not why they would then object to being called on it. As you said, life goes on. Those with other opinions or that do not like can scroll on or subscribe to other groups. They'll learn soon enough that no one is really interested in the garbage. Or I suppose "One mans trash is another mans treasure". Now if we could just get all the trash treasurers into one group LOL.

a shame because they also had a history of some other interesting posts

I agree, and even said that in my reply comments to the person.

if we could just get all the trash treasurers into one group

It'd be a gigantic group. Lol.

I was disappointed with the reaction, and said so, considering the interactions we'd had. I guess people do what they do and react in ways they feel appropriate. Entitlement doesn't wash with me though, neither does throwing tantrums. I did what I did (in my own community), owned it, and own it still. I'm content.
