We just wanted to update everyone on some things happening at this point in time. Theres always some work to be done we will also slowly start to add a few more people to our team to offload some of the work that needs doing in the background.
NEW COLLAB (X Got Talent):
- We have a new collab ongoing for this week with another talent show on Twitter hosted by Dj Doge.
Its called X got Talent. The way this will work is fairly simple.
- The entries for X Got Talent will count as entries for Vibes as well and be eligible for weekly prizes and more. 😎
Those sharing their music and playing live during X Got Talent will record that performance and submit it to Vibes following the same process as our current musicians seen here.
I will also be Dming some of our Vibes musicians with the hope of them going to represent Vibes, and themselves ofc, 🙂 during the X Got Talent twitter space that happens every week on Twitter.
There will also be a call to action just like every week where we will reward people for attendance.
"X Got Talent" is a very popular music space and a great opportunity for everyone to go share their work and tell the world about the great things we are doing here on Hive and with Vibes.
VIBES DISCORD:
We have launched our discord channel yesterday and will be adding a few people to help moderate it as the competition grows. So far we have been using Twitter groups to share information about Vibes and while we will still keep it active the issue there was that you need to manually add people to it and with Discord anyone can get in, check things out and get introduced to this great community.
We will also soon have a "onboarding contest" with prizes as soon as @ecency has finished work on the polling system, that we need badly for Vibes to start introducing the competition and all the amazing work our musicians are doing, to a wider audience of non-musicians.
We want to not only reward musicians but also help them build an audience.

On Hive. Once I have polls on Hive is when I see if the Vibes concept actually works fully, 100%, when it comes to generating users for Hive.
Rewards each week will be decided in part by the "audience" voting on a poll for their favorites.

Greetings friends, today I managed to publish my first video in this community, I am very excited.
Wow, this sounds really exciting! Big opportunities for us Vibes musicians to represent at the X Got Talent event with DJ Doge. That's going to get our music out there to the next level. And the new Discord channel is nice too, makes it easy for me to connect with the whole Vibes family. The little onboarding contest as well, that's going to blow things wide open to showcase the great talents we have in our community. A little more fire right there, I'm feeling the vibes!

I do love the idea of getting polls involved here. I know LEO does this now but it only accounts for LEO power so maybe something on the hive level or even a new token called Vibes or something. Honestly if there was a VIBES/ solid music community that built a hive streaming platform etc it would be massive in keeping people around longer I would think. For sure a big undertaking though but hopefully someone runs with at least one of the projects that has the know how.
