Why Splinterlands Changes My Life and Makes Me a Better Person

Everyone loves to talk about winning battles in Splinterlands, or saying how amazing it is to participate in the airdrop, and there are even some excellent tips on how to beat this or that enemy, and let's not forget the financial advisors who always have a tip to teach you to profit even more from Splinterlands.

The most diverse players write about the most diverse subjects, and what is not lacking in this game is content to learn or to publish hehehe (here I am🙃).

Many people know a lot about the game and its many direct benefits. But what about the indirect benefits, has anyone ever wondered about that?

Well, I was on the beach talking to some friends last week and they were talking about therapy and how normal things like cooking and taking care of plants can affect our central nervous system with benefits beyond imagination.

So I was wondering what I do to benefit myself?

That's when I suddenly realized how much playing Splinterlands brought beneficial changes to my life and decided to make this fun post with tips, unlike anything you've seen, and share with you the amazing things I've noticed.

1- Splinterlands is a strategy game and, like all strategy games, it is very beneficial for the brain, developing logical thinking skills and new neural connections.

Some clinics in Brazil use games as a complementary treatment for depression and stroke sequelae in the elderly.

2 - I am learning English without studying.

I always found grammar exercises boring to learn English, but playing Splinterlands between translations and repetitions I ended up learning many words and expressions, whether trying to communicate with other players around the world or trying to understand everything that is written in the game, I am always learning.

3 - Discipline has increased considerably.

My commitment to Splinterlands made a direct bridge between fun and discipline, and to have time to play and write, I became much more organized and disciplined.

4 - Met wonderful people!

I don't know if it's some kind of coincidence or if the game has the magical power to attract interesting people or if this is a trick my ego came up with to say that we geeks are cool.

But the Splinterlands community is made up of some of the most generous, fun and smart people I've ever met, playing Splinterlands has allowed me to make a lot of friends around the world and I love it.

5 - I learned to do more complex financia transactions !

And what are the benefits of playing Splinterlands for you?

Tell me here in the comments that I am very curious to know...

I curse more, now. I almost started drinking again. I used to play in Champion league and got busted down to diamond... sometimes, sniff, I land in gold 2 and have to spend the season fighting and crying just to get close to the majors, again.

People with decks that shouldn't even be shown next to mine just have their way with me, time after time, again and again, until the streak is so long I can't even look at my battle history without wanting to open a vein.

Filling out my season report card feels like making a list of ways I've disappointed my mother. 😜

You and me both, mate.

This is probably what it feels like to approach retirement in pro sports. Lol, now all I can do is rent out my cards and post about the glory days. 🙄

I used to be a Battle Mage like you; but I took an arrow to the knee.

Omfg, dude, if they ever get a game like Skyrim paying me to play I'm lost forever.

That is of course until I take a syndrome to the carpal tunnel and have to settle down in a old gamers commune somewhere near the desert.

Gold 2 feels like failing in Math, honestly! I dread it!

Omfg, YES!! Or spelling. It’s right in my fucking head but it comes out with an I instead of a Y when I execute! Or worse, they want the British spelling with a fucking U in it for no good reason…

there's one more benefit, learning to deal with anger and frustration. :)

!PIZZA

I 100% agree. Card games like Magic the Gathering and Splinterlands have been such an important part of keeping my mind sharp, and I notice a considerable difference in my cognitive performance when I don't play one or the other for long periods of time.

PIZZA!

my god....hahahaahahaha
i never saw splinterlands this way but you have a point definitely in your way of thinking
hahahaahahahaa...hey you took splinterlands to a different level!!!

I am hundred percent second to that "new neural pathways" logic.

I like to win I like to compete I like the competition the competition is hard it's fierce I don't find the people very generous I find most people just care about themselves in this game but that's why I destroy them I myself have been very generous I bought some girls decks in the Philippines and stuff like that that no other ways to get cards girls that I never met and don't plan on meeting

I think the best thing could be that you are self sufficient and enjoying something you like to do as opposed to do a 8-5 job that you do just for the salary.

Well done!

You folks give me hope.

Yea! This is the best. It has many benefits that I forgot to mention in the rush to finish the post, this could be a lot more complete.

:)

Eu comecei a entender, jogando "Ocarina of Time", no Nintendo 64.

Hi @marianaemilia - I enjoyed reading this post about the five benefits, especially the one about learning English by playing the game.

I got here via your Listnerds mail, which linked out to a different post, but it was this post that caught my attention.

Upvoted you on Listnerds and here. :)
