Absolutely LOVE the start of the month - everyone seems excited to show off their gardens for the Hive Garden Journal challenge.
It's bittersweet this month though as I know people are wrapping up their gardens in the northern hemisphere so less garden posts to cuate! Make sure you join in the #hivegardenqotw if you're bored of NOT gardening and if you have any questions you think would be great let us know.
Don't forget to go comment on other people's #gardenjournal posts and make them feel valued - we know how much we love engagement on our posts, so let's water other people's with attention too!
It's almost been hard to keep up with the awesome content coming out of the community - it definitely is the busy season so hard to spread all the votes around! If you can spare a little to delegate to @gardenhive you could help contribute to the community in immeasurable ways.
Looking forward to your garden updates!
Please make sure you check the guidelines and the community rules.
The Challenge
Write a #gardenjournal post! This could be:
- Detailing what's happening in your garden, from successes to failures
- Writing about a friend's garden
- Writing about a visit to a botanical garden or nursery
- Writing about your favourite plant
- Garden produce recipes
- Prepping posts about growing and preserving your own food
The Guidelines
- Please do NOT share ten photos of the SAME plant! Be selective.
- Use the tag #gardenjournal as your first tag
- 300 words minimum - this is not a photo challenge.
- Comment on other posts in the community
- Use #gardenjournal as your first tag and post in the community.
- No AI generated posts please - you will be immediately muted
- If your post is prepping related, use the tag #GARDENPREPPER as well.
- Drop the LINK to your post UNDER THIS POST.
Your enthusiasm shines through the content you create and your engagement with community and will be rewarded with upvotes and reblogs, and hopefully lots of engagement from fellow gardeners and Hive folk!
Let's see fab formatting, beautiful photos, and thoughtful post - the kind of post that makes us want to go and tidy our garden!

Uh, another challenge. That's cool! Still so much to get into with my garden...
Every month we encourage people to share their gardens or garden dreams. Then there's also the weekend question.
Yeah, the QOTW was what got me into finally writing after lurking for a while :-D Thank you for doing this, helping to get inspired :-)
Ye, not much left in mine. Plants are going to winter mode. Some flowers left and some tomatoes which need to be picked quickly now.
Hey @GardenHive, I am loving this community. Carnivorous Double Potting - this is a link to my latest post. We are going into summer in South America. I am working almost full time to keep up with the increased growth lately. Thanks for mentioning the "prepper" tag. I will use it form my food related plants. I am prepping.
Wow! This challenge is so exciting and I can't wait to post my piece 😀 thank you hivegarden for this exciting challenge and opportunity for us gardeners and farmers, with this we can showcase our farm life and procedures to our fellow gardeners and farmers. We can learn from each others way or farming and we can exchange ideas for a betterment of our farm crops or plants.👏👏
