It was Max's first birthday celebration with us here last July 9. He is now two years old. We welcomed him as our new family member on January 7 of this year.
Many of you here know Max's journey since the day our neighbor saved him from his previous owner and asked for our help to adopt him.
Max has really improved a lot in terms of his behavior and health. We are so happy to see him now, very playful and attached to all of us with affection, even to Arashi, our cute but aggressive toy poodle. We can already see and feel their affection for each other.
We simply celebrated his birthday by giving him his favorite food. I cooked chicken and carrots, which they love to eat mixed in with their dog food.
My daughter @tegoshei baked him some carrot cupcakes too. It was simply a mixture of flour, grated carrots, soy milk, and some of their dog treats, with no additional flavor. Max and Arashi really love it too.
I also prepared some of their treats. We shared some of the cupcakes with some of our neighbors' dogs, too.
We can feel Max's happiness, and it's so touching to see him smile, to see him in such a happy and healthy state.
It was also his clinic appointment for deworming on July 8. His weight is now 29.08 kg, which is from 17 kg on the day we adopted him. Even his veterinarian ais amazed by his speedy recovery and progress. And that makes us very grateful and happy.
