Transforming My Tablet Into a Netbook (Unboxing)

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY3 hours ago

Before my bestie and her hubby gifted me a laptop for me to restart working after the calamity that affected my family, I thought of transforming my tablet into a Netbook, so I could at least blog easily and also conduct classes for my personal students once we have a more stable connection.

So, when we received some monetary donations from family and friends, I decided to invest a part of it in the things I'd need to transform my tablet into a netbook for blogging and for work. I collected vouchers and looked for the best deals online, and bought them. However, the blessings from my bestie and her family came earlier than what I ordered.

The things I ordered got really delayed. I was supposed to receive it around the third week of November, but I didn't receive it until yesterday.

It took three weeks to arrive, but it's understandable given that there have been a couple more typhoons that happened after I placed my order. In addition, the product is being shipped from China, so it's even longer than usual.

Anyway, let's start with the unboxing!

It's a smart keyboard case with a Bluetooth mouse. My tablet is the Redmi Pad Pro from Xiaomi. I originally bought this for my drawing practice, but it turned out more useful, especially after I lost my PC in the flood. I really had to save this one because I have only paid for one month for it, and I have many months left. I didn't want to pay for something that's lost or broken. XD hahaha

It finally became a netbook! :) I also inserted a drawing pen into the pen slot below. This app on the tablet is similar to MS Word, and before I had my laptop, this was where I edited my mom's post after she submitted it to me for posting. She usually asks me to proofread her posts before posting them. ^^

It was pretty smooth! I'm more comfortable typing on a keyboard rather than on a screen. Using the mouse is also good, but the touchscreen element made it better. ^^

These days, I let my mom use my tablet so she could watch some stuff on Amazon Prime (since we get a free subscription every month from our phone data provider). I mostly use my laptop for work, as well as anime watching... It's all good! :)

As for the other item, I got myself these gaming earphones with a microphone. It has a noise reduction feature. As I mentioned earlier, I initially planned on using these for my personal classes on Teams before I got my laptop.

I actually tried using these earphones for my class this afternoon, and it worked pretty well even on my laptop. It's really hot in this area where I work during the afternoon, so my headphones become too sweaty. These are more comfy to use around that time of day. And it's a great backup item for my classes.

These purchases won't go to waste. There will be days when I'd let my laptop rest... in days when I'm just blogging or when I only have Teams classes, I'll be able to use my newly transformed tablet. hahaha

So yeah, that's it for this post. Thanks a lot for reading, and I'll see you in the next one! I have a class in an hour, so I'll relax for now and watch some anime before that. Jaa ne~!
