INSIGHT NEIGHBOURHOOD - MONOMAD || ENG-ESP || (8 Pics)

This area which I like to call "my immediate neighbourhood" makes up perhaps a quarter of the town and are the streets in which I grew up, in which I had friends and in which I played as a child. So when I have little time to walk in the morning, I simply opt to take a short stroll through these streets around my house. And there I always find something to photograph, or there is always some forgotten story to remember...

Now, at this point in my life, I have the luxury of wandering these streets as "being transparent", as people here have become accustomed to watching me walking and taking pictures with my camera. Lately I do less portraits as I have done it with almost all the people on the streets. However, there is always something on the street that is good for a photo.

It's a handful of heterogeneous streets, I have looked at them a thousand times since my childhood. However, there is always something I regret not having seen before. Sometimes I think I imagine things and then I photograph them, sometimes I confuse the names of the inhabitants and sometimes memories and stories come to my mind which I have doubts about whether they are real or a product of my inventiveness... At this point in my life these are a jumble of magical and ephemeral things happening in disarray.

I breathe, I imagine poems, I listen to the noises and words emanating from inside the houses, I am surprised by the sudden street solitude, then disturbed by people as soon as I turn a corner and walk a few meters... Doing this is a whole universe of sensations and events happening in very short intervals...

Some great shots you got here! Nice work! You are often shooting the streets?

Thank you for your appreciation friend @careassaktart!... Yes, I have been taking street photos in my town for about 12 or 13 years, and I have been sharing them here on #Hive for almost two years! ;-)

I felt like I noticed but I still wanted to check with you 🙂 It is Cuba or?

Hello friend @jlinaresp I am surprised by the number of votes you get for each post you post, well done, you are a recognized photographer. Have you ever had an exhibition?

Oh @cyboule friend, it makes me blush!... he he he :))... Thank you very much for your appreciation!...

I actually take photographs just for hobby (and I started doing this almost 20 years ago as therapy against work stress)... Between 2010 and 2102 I did some regional and local exhibitions, but (and this will sound strange) my low ability to socialize in physical way, my natural introspection and tended to say what I think crudely, ended up getting me into trouble with the attendees at the expos, with the sponsors and with everyone I was close to!... ha ha ha ha :)). .. I'm a solitary guy by nature and I've never liked groups of people, that's disconcerting and makes me act incorrectly (at least that's what my psychologist said before I got into a fight with him ha ha ha)... Since then I have only provided my images in digital format for non-profit exhibitions at the local cultural athenaeum, but I only request in exchange the condition that I do not have to attend the events... Strange, isn't it?...

Sending hugs a thanks again!... Have a great week!

Good morning @jlinaresp. There will always be something to photograph, even if for years we take photos in the same place and to the same people, the story every day is different. You do an excellent job in your town.

I can't imagine you living anywhere else, the village where you live has been perfect for your life and of course for the photography you love to do.

You are right dear friend @wilfredocav... I was about to move a couple of times during my life, but I simply "couldn't", I don't have the will to leave these streets which seem so perfect for "me to be and be"... I don't know the future, but I would like to leave this world within the strange corners of Montalbán...

Thanks a lot for visit and appreciate!
