In my country there is no desert. If you see a wide flat expanse and behind it are mountains, it is simply a swampy lowland for rice fields that is impossible to traverse easily. The rest is the contour of the land which always has highs and lows. However, if I had the chance to dream of a desert, I would not pass it up.
I would imagine that the vast expanse of flatness was like a giant table and in the distance a group of mountains set the boundaries.
It's nice to see the destination without any hindrances. It inspires hope. It will be different if our view is blocked by various heights that make us feel in a narrow space. Going through one narrow space after another narrow space to finally get to the destination, it requires great patience and self-motivation ability. So obviously imagining a large flat expanse would be nice, but here it's not like a table. It is indeed a table.
