Fitness Giant Claims 1-Minute Abs ‘The Only’ Workout For 2021

Social media fitness giant Quik’n’Fit who are best known for their foray into the 7-minute abs craze have, this week, released their most ambitious project to date. 1-minute abs, their latest workout, will be available to all existing, and new members, from tomorrow.

The program which has been described, ahead of it’s world-wide debut, as an intensely minimalistic assault on your core, will be available on the Quik’n’Fit website as of 12:01am Friday morning.

Touted as the quickest abs workout ever, the short session has been developed in response to the overwhelming demand from Quik’n’Fit clients who have reportedly been telling staff just how difficult they find fitting, even the shortest of workouts, into their busy lifestyles.

Spokesperson for Quik’n’Fit, Sebastian Speedsman, told reporters yesterday, ’In our ever-increasingly busy society, we need a solid method for staying fit and toning our abs, but one that does not take up too much time. This revolutionary workout is just what the doctor ordered!’

But it seems that doctors are denouncing the quick regime, with many stating that, while any activity is better than none, there is no evidence that a workout of this length will give participants the six-pack they may be seeking.

Mr Speedsman also cited the problematic rise of smaller attention spans in the Australian public for the development of the program, saying, ’Studies have shown that attention spans across all generations are decreasing. This workout will help our clients get the results they… wait, what was the question?’

Personal trainers and gym owners across the country are distancing themselves from the short workout. Not one trainer we contacted was willing to be quoted, but most were of the same opinion - that they would not be using the workout, or sharing it with their clients.

Despite professional and medical reservations, there is excitement brewing amongst Quik’n’Fit clients. ‘I’m super excited about the imminent release of this workout,’ said Renee Timmerston, who has been a subscriber to the Quik’n’Fit website for two years now. ‘I struggle to maintain consistency across the week with my workouts as I’m so busy with work and the kids, but now, I’ll be able to balance all of them, including getting fitter. I guess now, all I need to do is find a minute to get through the workout.’

Damian Prosser plans on joining the fitness giant early in the new year as a direct result of the new innovative workout. ‘It’s great. Short and sweet. Just like me.’

Yesterday, The Third Day was given exclusive access to the newest workout on the Quik’n’Fit website. The page boldly states that clients will, ‘see a six-pack in six weeks by doing less than six exercises’, however, a disclaimer further down the page indicates that, ‘… starting the program with a six-pack is a distinct advantage.’ Customers are also encouraged to remain attentive as the new year progresses as the company seeks to trim even more time from their now ludicrously short workouts.

’Time-strapped fans of our 1-minute abs workout will want to stay tuned later in the new year. We’re also currently developing a glutes and thighs workout which will only set them back 20 seconds.’

The whole thing stinks of effort and concentration, and the timing's off.
A: I don't have a minute spare each day.
B: I can't wait six weeks for abs. It's already Spring.
