So I have reviewed the last guideline post I made.
I think it was actually very clear on the type of content we need posted in TradFi.
Going forward, if people do not follow the guidelines post they are likely to lose their author status.
Please read the guidelines post before posting in TradFi.
I want this community to be about stocks, bonds, and capital markets.
Being a whitelisted author is not guarantied forever.
I will be removing some authors over the coming days.
The authors that are going to be removed have been left comments by me that their posts are not TradFi so unless you have received a comment from me saying as such, you will not be removed as a white listed author.
Authors who are removed are still welcome and encouraged to participate in comment section.

Just catching up, I understand the new updates. I'm still on the whitelist, thanks. We're having a lot of power outages in my country and I've been a bit out of touch. I hope it gets resolved soon so I can participate more in your community.
Leaving a comment before removal is good. It will give clarity to people of the topics are relevant for community or not.
It is not a perma ban. If someone loses their author status they can always make a TradFi post and reapply.
Originally I was just going to mute posts that do not meet the standard but I don't think that works very well. It creates a bad user experience.
I wish there was a way to just remove or add posts to the community without muting the person's whole post.
I like your user-oriented approach, which is flexible. It's a good philosophy that gives users attention and always gives them the option to reach out and apply.
Overall, users should not be punished even if they post something that is not relevant, and they feel like home even if they are not posting because they can still engage, and this is equally valuable.

If someone is removed as an author it is not a perma ban. They can always do a TradFi post and reapply.

stock options ok? i used to post about my trading, but got downvoted due to its 'boring' nature, or they were just of the opinion that it was junk. :(
I don't think we should post about stock options or even futures for that matter.
Options and futures are not investments they are hedging tools.
I would rather encourage capital preservation and most people lose a lot of money trading options.
i see. i just trade options as my 'gambling' thing, for fun. i am all in on HIVE and btc, though. buy yea, and index or ETF is way more stable, but not as fun and thrilling.. :P

There are some reddit communities where people post their losses with options and man it is wild how much money some people lose.

I guess unless it's obviously not tradfi, a comment with some hint before being removed would be good, like "take it a warning and push to improve", on second off topic post, remove the author... Simply because we are humans, one can make one mistake, and humans are riddled with imperfection
I think warnings are kind of weird lol.
It is not like a perma ban anyways if someone gets their author status removed. If people make an effort to make TradFi posts and want to reapply for author status that is always an option.
If I can do something to make the guidelines post more clear just let me know. I felt like it was pretty clear but I can appreciate my posts are a bit wordy sometimes.
The rules are pretty clear, I mean the topics allowed are not really obscure, more specific than this it's hard to do

I think that’s the primary value of Hive. It’s a SOCIAL blockchain. Social comes first, do what you’re able. I’m not sure how much I can contribute, but at least I enjoy the concept, I can support posts and keep learning.

I won't be perma banning people though. If someone makes a TradFi post and reapplies I think that is fine and will give back author status.
I need some process for adding and removing people and this makes the most sense to me. I also do not like muting posts. Muting just looks weird imo.
I wish there was a better way to just add and remove posts to the community without muting the person's whole post.
It would be nice if there was some more granular control.
