I traveled to Osaka for work.
I was accompanied by a colleague who is originally from Osaka, so I asked him to show me around. Although our stay was brief, and we couldn't explore much, I have shared some photos and views from that time.
We walked past the famous Glico signboard on the Ebisu Bridge and paid a visit to the Hōzen-ji Temple. I learned that Hōzen-ji Temple has withstood challenges like wartime destruction and fires. Remarkably, the temple's main deity, Amitābha Buddha, and the Mizukake-Fudō (a deity doused with water) remained unscathed.
The deity covered in moss in the photos is affectionately known as the Mizukake-Fudō. The practice is to splash water on the statue while making a wish. It's a play on words in Japanese, implying both the action of splashing water and making a wish. It is believed that this deity assists with all our desires, supporting and guiding us in the right direction.
It was my first time seeing it, and I found it incredibly soothing. I highly recommend visiting and making a wish while splashing water on the statue.
Nearby is Hōzen-ji Yokocho Street, lined with atmospheric dining establishments. We didn't dine there, but I imagine it would be enjoyable at night, and we enjoyed our stroll.
As a bonus, I've included two extra photos. These are from a display specialty shop located in Nipponbashi in Osaka. My colleague mentioned that if you're looking for any culinary tools, you'd likely find them here. There are professional-grade knife shops too, making this area worth exploring.

私も初めて見たのですが、なんだか結構癒されました。是非とも一度見に行ってほしい。
そして水をかけて願いを込めて欲しいです。
その近くにある、法善寺横丁通りは風情のある飲食店が立ち並んでいる場所です。
お店には入らなかったのですが、夜とか楽しいだろうなーと思い散策してました。

私は昔は日本橋あたりによく遊びに行っていましたが、ここ数年は行っていません。日本橋といえば電気街（でんでんタウン）が有名ですがディスプレイ専門店もあるのですね。私が遊びに行った時は五階百貨店というところで古着を買ったり、電気街で電子部品を買ったりしていました。また行きたいです。
コロナにかかってしまい倒れており、返信遅くなりました！
連れて行ってもらったところは、飲食店のプロ仕様のお店がいっぱいって感じでした。
昔よく行ってたのですね、近かったら自分も通いたいなと思いました。
