If you fear physical injuries from chronical overload but you do want to keep building - you might want to consider adding in some extra miles on a recovery pace - where you slow down to roughly 70-75% of your max heart rate. That way you do build endurance and running efficiency but your body is actually healing - removing LA from the blood.

Closest goal is 5Km @ 3:50/Km. I'm going to a local small 5K race on march 23.
